The kitchen was quiet, save for the soft rustle of the newspaper as Nikki sat at the table, sipping her coffee. The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the room. It was a peaceful scene, one that was quickly shattered by the sound of tiny footsteps padding across the floor.
Nikki looked up from her paper, her eyes narrowing as she took in the figure standing in the doorway. It was Creature, dressed only in a diaper, his face flushed with embarrassment. Nikki raised an eyebrow, her gaze flicking to the noticeable bulge in his diaper.
"Creature, have you been wearing that thing all morning?" she asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
Creature nodded, his face turning an even deeper shade of red. Nikki chuckled and shook her head.
"You're such a baby," she said, playfully insulting him. "Go change it before it leaks all over my kitchen."
Creature nodded and scurried out of the room, his diaper rustling as he moved. Nikki went back to reading her newspaper, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. She couldn't help but find Creature's antics endearing, even if they were a little strange.
A few minutes later, Creature returned, still wearing his diaper. Nikki looked up, confused.
"I thought I told you to change it," she said, her tone stern.
Creature stammered, "I-I did, but I forgot to throw away the old one."
Nikki's eyes widened as she noticed the dirty diaper sitting on the counter. "You left this disgusting thing on my counter?" she exclaimed.
Creature nodded, his face turning even redder. Nikki stood up, her expression angry.
"You're going to clean this up right now," she said, her voice stern. "And then you're going to wear a sign around your neck for the rest of the day that says 'I'm a dirty diaper-wearing baby'."
Creature's eyes widened in horror. "B-but Nikki, please," he stammered.
Nikki crossed her arms, her expression unyielding. "Do it, or you'll be sorry," she said.
Creature knew better than to argue with Nikki, so he reluctantly complies. He cleaned up the dirty diaper, his movements clumsy and awkward. Nikki watched him, her expression softening as she saw the look of embarrassment on his face.
"You know, you don't have to do this," she said, her voice gentle. "I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to."
Creature looked up at her, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Nikki," he said, his voice quiet.
Nikki smiled and reached out to ruffle his hair. "You're welcome," she said. "Now, go get dressed and let's start our day."
As Creature left the kitchen, Nikki couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness towards him. She knew that he had his quirks, but she couldn't help but find him endearing. She would never tell anyone about his little secret, she would keep it between them. After all, that's what friends were for.
