Karina let out a sigh as she finished up the last of the dishes, her mind wandering to the never-ending to-do list that awaited her. She glanced out the kitchen window, watching as the sun began to set on another long day.
Suddenly, she felt a rough hand on her shoulder and let out a startled yelp, spinning around to come face-to-face with a dirty, disheveled man. He leered at her, his yellowed teeth on display as he flashed a grin.
Karina's eyes narrowed, her initial shock quickly giving way to anger. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" she snapped, crossing her arms over her chest.
The man chuckled, his grin never faltering. "I could use a warm meal and a place to stay," he said, his voice dripping with entitlement.
Karina rolled her eyes, fighting the urge to roll her neck and let out an exasperated sigh. "You must be out of your mind if you think I'm going to let you stay here," she said, her words clipped.
The man chuckled again, his eyes raking over Karina's body in a way that made her skin crawl. "Oh, come on. I'm sure you can think of something I can do to earn my keep," he said, waggling his eyebrows suggestively.
Karina's eyes narrowed even further, her anger boiling over. "You're disgusting," she spat, turning back to the sink. "Get out of my house before I call the police."
But the man didn't budge, his grin never faltering. "I'm not going anywhere until you give me what I want," he said, taking a step closer to Karina.
Karina's anger turned to amusement, her mind racing with the possibilities of how she could get rid of this unwanted guest. "You really think you have a chance with me?" she laughed, turning back to face him.
The man's grin faltered for a brief moment, but he quickly recovered. "You're a pretty woman. I'm sure you've been with worse," he said, trying to save face.
Karina's laughter died down, her eyes flashing with a warning. "You have no idea who you're dealing with," she said, her voice low and dangerous.
The man finally seemed to realize that he was in over his head. He took a step back, his hands raised in surrender. "I-I didn't mean any harm," he stammered.
Karina watched him, a smirk on her face. "That's what I thought," she said, turning back to the sink. She grabbed a dish towel, drying her hands as she watched the man back towards the door, never taking his eyes off of her.
"You're making a big mistake," he said as he reached for the doorknob.
Karina shrugged, turning to face him with a satisfied smile. "We'll see about that," she said, slamming the door in his face. She let out a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest as she leaned against the sink.
She couldn't believe what had just happened, but she couldn't help the thrill that ran through her veins. She had handled the situation with strength and confidence, never backing down or giving into the man's demands. She was in control, and she loved it.
Karina couldn't wait to see what the rest of the night had in store for her.
