Vlad was hunched over his textbooks, his brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to memorize the names of the Russian rulers for his exam the next day. He jumped when the door to his small apartment slammed open, making him knock his pencil onto the floor.
"Vladimir, my boy!" Sergei boomed as he walked into the room, his eyes raking over Vlad's body with a suggestive gleam. Vlad felt a shiver of unease run down his spine.
"Sergei," Vlad said stiffly, gathering his pencil and notebook. "What brings you here?"
Sergei chuckled, his eyes still fixed on Vlad. "Can't a stepfather visit his stepson?" he asked, taking a step closer.
Vlad tried to brush off the feeling of discomfort that was creeping over him. "Of course," he said, his voice tight. "But I'm studying for an exam."
Sergei waved a hand dismissively. "Exams are overrated," he said, taking another step closer. "You need to relax, have some fun."
Vlad's heart started to race as Sergei reached out a hand towards him. He quickly moved out of reach, his heart pounding in his chest.
"I don't need to relax," he said firmly. "I need to study."
Sergei's face darkened, his eyes narrowing. "You're always so uptight," he said, his voice low. "Can't you just let loose for once?"
Vlad felt a surge of anger. "No, I can't," he said, standing up to face Sergei. "I won't let you manipulate me."
Sergei sneered. "You think I'm manipulating you?" he asked. "I'm just showing you affection, boy."
Vlad shook his head. "No, you're not," he said. "I know what you're doing, and I won't stand for it."
Sergei's face twisted in anger, and he took a step towards Vlad. "You'll regret crossing me," he said, his voice low and dangerous.
Vlad didn't back down. "I'll regret it if I don't," he said. "I'll tell my mother about your inappropriate behavior if you don't leave me alone."
Sergei glared at Vlad for a moment, then turned on his heel and stormed out of the apartment. Vlad let out a sigh of relief, but the feeling of violation lingered. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being trapped in a situation that he couldn't control.
He decided to confide in his best friend, Katya. She was strong and controlling, just the kind of person he needed to talk to.
"He won't stop, Katya," Vlad said, his voice shaking. "He keeps making advances, and I don't know what to do."
Katya's face darkened. "You need to stand up for yourself," she said firmly. "Don't let him manipulate you."
Vlad felt a surge of empowerment. "You're right," he said. "I won't let him control me anymore."
He took a deep breath and picked up his phone, dialing his mother's number. It was time to take action.
