The dorm room was a battlefield of chaos, a cramped little kingdom of clutter where Riley reigned supreme. A single bed, barely made, sat shoved against one wall, its rumpled sheets a testament to her disdain for order. The desk was a fortress of textbooks, half-opened and abandoned, their spines cracked like the resolve of a freshman during finals week. A full-length mirror leaned precariously against the opposite wall, reflecting the mess—and Riley herself—in all its unfiltered glory.
She sprawled on the bed, legs dangling over the edge, a dog-eared psychology textbook balanced on her stomach. Her dark hair was pulled into a messy bun, strands escaping like they were plotting a jailbreak, and her tank top rode up just enough to reveal a sliver of toned midriff. Study break, she’d called it. More like a study breakdown. Two hours of cramming Freud’s nonsense into her brain, and she was ready to scream. Or do something reckless. Preferably both.
“God, Riley, you’re a walking disaster,” she muttered, catching her own eye in the mirror. She smirked, tossing the textbook aside with a dramatic flair. It landed with a thud on the floor, joining the graveyard of pens and crumpled energy drink cans. “What’s a girl gotta do to get a thrill around here? Interpret another dream about snakes? No thanks.”
She rolled onto her stomach, chin propped on her hands, and scanned the room for entertainment. Her gaze landed on the bottom drawer of her desk—a drawer she hadn’t touched in weeks. A drawer she’d sworn she’d keep locked, except she’d lost the key somewhere between a frat party and a 3 a.m. taco run. A slow, wicked grin spread across her face.
“Oh, you little Pandora’s box,” she purred, sliding off the bed and crawling over to the drawer. “What secrets are you hiding today?”
She yanked it open, and there it was, nestled among a tangle of lace thongs and a forgotten vibrator: a shiny, silver anal plug, its tapered tip gleaming under the dim dorm light like it was winking at her. Riley let out a low whistle, plucking it from its hiding spot and holding it up like a trophy.
“Well, hello, gorgeous,” she drawled, twirling it between her fingers. “Where’ve you been all my life? Or at least since last semester when I panic-bought you during a late-night online shopping spree?”
She glanced at her reflection again, raising an eyebrow as if daring the girl in the mirror to judge her. “Don’t give me that look, Mirror Riley. You know I’m a sucker for shiny things. And trouble. Mostly trouble.”
Her reflection seemed to smirk back, and Riley laughed, a sharp, self-deprecating sound. “Yeah, yeah, I’m a walking cliché. College girl, bored out of her mind, about to do something stupid. Sue me. Or better yet, spank me.”
She bit her lip, her eyes glinting with mischief as she stood and sauntered over to the mirror, the plug still in hand. She turned it over, inspecting the way the light danced off its polished surface. Her pulse quickened, a familiar thrill curling low in her belly. She’d never actually used this thing before. Bought it on a whim, tossed it in the drawer, and forgot about it. But now? Now, it was practically begging for her attention.
“Alright, shiny,” she said, addressing the plug like it was an old friend. “You and me, we’re gonna have a little fun. But let’s set some ground rules. One, no judgment. Two, if this goes south, I’m blaming you. Deal?”
She gave it a mock stern look, then burst into laughter. “God, I’m talking to a sex toy. I’ve officially lost it. Next thing you know, I’ll be writing it love letters.”
Shaking her head, she set the plug down on the desk and peeled off her tank top, letting it drop to the floor. Her sports bra followed, leaving her in nothing but a pair of black boy shorts. She caught her reflection again, hands on her hips, and gave herself a once-over.
“Not bad, Riley,” she said, winking at the mirror. “You’ve got the body of a goddess and the decision-making skills of a raccoon on Red Bull. Let’s do this.”
She grabbed a small bottle of lube from the drawer—because she wasn’t a complete idiot—and settled back onto the bed, propping herself up on her elbows. Her fingers trembled just a little as she slicked up the plug, her bravado faltering for a split second before she squared her shoulders.
“Relax, champ,” she told herself, her voice dripping with mock confidence. “You’ve got this. It’s just a little… backdoor adventure. No biggie. People do this all the time. Probably. Okay, maybe not in a dorm room at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday, but who’s counting?”
She shifted, lying on her side, and reached back, her breath hitching as the cool metal grazed her skin. “Oh, damn, that’s cold,” she hissed, then laughed. “Alright, shiny, let’s take it slow. I’m not saying I’m a prude, but I’m also not trying to star in an ER episode titled ‘College Girl’s Unfortunate Plug Mishap.’”
Her banter with herself continued as she teased, her voice a mix of sharp wit and nervous excitement. “Come on, Riley, you’re tougher than this. You’ve survived group projects with theater majors. You’ve eaten questionable cafeteria food and lived. You can handle a little—oh, fuck, okay, that’s… different.”
She exhaled sharply, her body adjusting to the sensation, a slow burn of pleasure mingling with the unfamiliar stretch. Her reflection caught her eye again, and she smirked, even as a flush crept up her cheeks. “Look at you, you absolute badass. Taking risks, pushing boundaries. If only Freud could see me now. He’d probably say I’ve got daddy issues or something. Joke’s on him—I’ve got plug issues.”
Her laughter was breathy now, her confidence growing as she eased into the experience. She shifted again, lying on her back, one hand trailing lazily down her stomach while the other stayed in place, guiding her little experiment. The thrill was undeniable, a rush of power and rebellion that made her feel like she could conquer the world—or at least the rest of her psych midterm.
“You’re a goddamn queen, Riley,” she told her reflection, her voice low and husky now, all traces of nerves gone. “A queen with a shiny new scepter. Bow down, bitches. Or don’t. I’m too busy ruling my own damn kingdom to care.”
She let herself sink deeper into the moment, her sharp tongue silenced for once as sensation took over. This was just the beginning, a small act of defiance against the monotony of college life. If a little plug could make her feel this alive, what else was out there waiting for her? What other boundaries could she push?
As her breath steadied, she glanced at the mirror one last time, a wicked gleam in her eye. “Round one, Riley: one. Boredom: zero. Let’s see what kind of trouble we can get into next.”
And with that, she knew this was only the start of something far more daring.
