The door to the cramped dorm room swung open with a groan, and Max stumbled in, his backpack hitting the floor with a dramatic *thud* that echoed off the cinderblock walls. His dark hair was a mess, sticking to his forehead with the faint sheen of sweat from a day spent dragging himself through back-to-back lectures. “Calculus,” he muttered, kicking the door shut behind him with more force than necessary, “is a cruel and unusual punishment. I’m suing the university for emotional damages.”
From the opposite bed, Kai didn’t even bother looking up from his laptop, his long legs stretched out lazily, one ankle crossed over the other. A smirk curled his lips as he tapped away at something, probably another one of his dumb mobile games. “Aw, poor Maxie,” he drawled, voice dripping with mock sympathy. “Can’t handle a little simple math? What’s next, gonna cry over long division?”
Max shot him a withering glare, dragging himself over to his own bed and collapsing onto it with a groan. “Screw you, Kai. At least I’m not chugging those nasty protein shakes you swear by. What even is that flavor? Gym sock with a hint of despair?” His shoulders slumped, the tension of the day practically radiating off him as he rubbed at the back of his neck.
Kai finally glanced over, his dark eyes glinting with mischief. He shut his laptop with a deliberate snap and sat up, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. “Hey, don’t knock the gains, man. These shakes are why I’m ripped and you’re... well, you.” He gestured vaguely at Max’s leaner frame, his grin sharp enough to cut glass. “But since you’re clearly about to snap like a cheap pencil, how ‘bout we unwind with our usual stress relief ritual?”
Max’s brow furrowed, but before he could ask, Kai tilted the laptop screen toward him with a theatrical flourish. The paused video on display was... explicit, to say the least. A tangle of limbs and breathy moans frozen in time, just waiting for the play button. Kai waggled his eyebrows, looking far too pleased with himself. “C’mon, don’t pretend you’re not into it.”
Rolling his eyes, Max felt a flush creep up his neck, hot and undeniable. He crossed his arms, trying to play it cool even as his gaze flicked to the screen. “You’re such a horny gremlin, you know that? Do you ever think about anything else?” Still, he couldn’t resist scooting closer, the mattress dipping under his weight as he settled next to Kai, close enough that their shoulders brushed.
Kai hit play, and the room filled with low, suggestive sounds—gasps and whispers that seemed to curl around them like smoke. He shot Max a sly sideways glance, his smirk growing as he caught the way Max’s jaw tightened. “What’s the matter, dude? Too much for you already? We’re not even at the good part.”
Max snorted, but his voice came out a little shakier than he intended. “Please. I can keep up just fine, you pushy bastard.” His words lacked their usual bite, especially when Kai’s hand brushed against his thigh—deliberate, teasing, a spark of heat that made Max’s breath hitch.
Leaning in closer, Kai’s voice dropped to a low, commanding purr, his eyes locked on Max with an intensity that pinned him in place. “Oh, I bet you can. But let’s see if you can handle what I’ve got in mind. Picture this—” He gestured at the screen, where the action was heating up, then back at Max, his tone dripping with dirty promise. “I’d have you right there, on your knees, begging for it. Wouldn’t even have to ask twice.”
Max’s face burned, but he forced a sarcastic laugh, trying to keep his cool even as his body betrayed him, shifting closer on the bed. “Big talk, Kai. You gonna back that up, or are you just all mouth?” His words were sharp, but his eyes kept darting to Kai’s lips, to the way his smirk promised trouble.
Kai’s grin widened, predatory and confident. He leaned in even closer, their faces inches apart, the heat between them crackling like static. “Stop pretending you don’t want this, Max. I can see it all over you—those flushed cheeks, the way you’re practically squirming. Just admit it. You’re dying for me to take the lead.”
Max opened his mouth to protest, but the words faltered under Kai’s unrelenting gaze. The space between them shrank, the air thick with anticipation, every taunt and tease pulling them closer to the edge. “You’re insufferable,” he muttered, but there was no heat in it, just a shaky exhale as Kai’s hand lingered on his thigh, firmer now, guiding the moment with an easy dominance.
Their hands started to wander—tentative at first, testing boundaries. Kai’s fingers traced lazy circles on Max’s leg, each touch deliberate, while Max’s own hand hesitated before brushing against Kai’s arm, eager but unsure. The tension built, a slow burn fueled by every sly glance, every sharp word.
Kai’s voice cut through the haze, low and husky, as he leaned in until his breath ghosted over Max’s ear. “This is just the start, you know. Next time, I’m gonna wreck you. Make you forget all about that stupid calculus. You won’t be able to think about anything but me.”
Max’s breath caught, his body frozen on the brink, caught between defiance and desire. The promise hung in the air, filthy and electric, leaving everything teetering on the edge of inevitable.
