Naran pushed open the door to Mateo's bedroom, her eyes immediately drawn to the disarray of clothes and books scattered across the floor. "You really need to learn to clean up after yourself, you know," she called out, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Mateo, lounging on his unmade bed, looked up from the book he was reading and grinned. "I'll get around to it eventually," he said, shrugging nonchalantly.
Naran rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help the way her heart fluttered at the sight of him. She moved further into the room, her eyes landing on a book about Elemental Dominion that was lying open on his desk. "What's this?" she asked, picking it up and flipping through the pages.
Mateo's grin turned into a smirk. "Just something I've been reading," he said, his tone carefully neutral.
Naran raised an eyebrow at him. "You're just as curious about your powers as I am," she accused, teasingly.
Mateo chuckled. "Maybe I am," he conceded. "But I'm also careful. I don't want to rush into anything and end up getting hurt."
Naran's expression softened, and she set the book down, her curiosity giving way to concern. "I know you're being careful, Mateo," she said, her voice serious. "But I still worry about you. These powers of yours are dangerous, and I don't want you to get hurt."
Mateo's smile faded, and he sat up, his eyes meeting Naran's. "I appreciate your concern," he said, his voice sincere. "But I promise you, I'm getting stronger every day. I won't do anything reckless, I promise."
Naran's face lit up with pride, and she grinned. "That's my Master," she said, teasingly.
Mateo's heart skipped a beat at the word, and he felt a sudden warmth spread through his chest. He took Naran's hand, his eyes never leaving hers. "Naran," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Naran's eyes widened, and she held her breath, waiting for him to continue.
"I... I have feelings for you too," Mateo confessed, his heart racing.
Naran's face broke out into a radiant smile, and she jumped on Mateo, pinning him down on the bed. "Really?" she asked, her voice breathless with excitement.
Mateo laughed, surprised by her sudden burst of energy. "Really," he confirmed, his hands automatically going to her waist.
Naran's hands shook as she began to unbutton Mateo's shirt, her eyes fixed on his chest. Mateo helped her, his own heart pounding with anticipation.
When the last button was undone, Naran leaned in, pressing her lips against Mateo's. He responded eagerly, his hands exploring her toned body.
Naran pulled back, giggling and bashful. "I've never done this before," she whispered, her eyes downcast.
Mateo's heart melted at her confession, and he took her face in his hands, kissing her neck. "It's okay," he murmured. "I'll guide you."
Naran became more confident, taking charge and guiding Mateo's hands. Mateo followed her lead, enjoying the moment.
Naran's movements became more urgent, and Mateo could feel her heart pounding. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer.
Naran gasped as Mateo entered her, her body tensing with pleasure. Mateo moved slowly, wanting to make sure Naran was comfortable.
Naran's breathing became labored as she reached her peak. Mateo followed, his own release taking over.
Naran collapsed on Mateo, her body spent. Mateo wrapped his arms around her, holding her close.
Naran looked up at Mateo, her eyes sparkling with love. "I never want to be apart from you," she whispered.
Mateo smiled, feeling the same way. "Me neither," he said, his heart full.
Naran fell asleep in Mateo's arms, her body still wrapped in his embrace. Mateo watched her, feeling a sense of peace and happiness he's never felt before.
As Mateo drifted off to sleep, he knew that he and Naran had a long journey ahead of them. But for now, he was content to be by her side.
