The bustling streets of Seoul were filled with a sea of people, a mix of locals and tourists alike. The energy was palpable, the excitement in the air was almost tangible. Among the crowd were two friends, Jane and Sarah, who were on a mission.
Jane clutched her phone tightly, her eyes scanning the crowd nervously. "Do you think he'll fall for it?" she asked Sarah, a mischievous glint in her eye.
Sarah chuckled, watching from a distance as Jane pretended to be lost. "Only one way to find out," she said, sipping her iced coffee.
Jane approached a group of Korean passers-by, hesitantly saying "Excuse me, do you speak English?" with a slightly sad look on her face. But the locals avoided eye contact and hurriedly walked away, leaving Jane looking even more lost and dejected.
Sarah couldn't help but chuckle at Jane's failed attempt. "Keep trying, Jane," she called out, trying to stifle her laughter.
Jane took a deep breath and tried again, this time with a slightly more confident tone. A few people glanced at her, but quickly looked away. Sarah's eyes narrowed as she scanned the crowd, searching for their target. And then she saw him.
"There he is!" Sarah hissed, grabbing Jane's arm.
Jane saw Chan walking down the street, heading straight towards her. She quickly approached him, asking "Excuse me, do you speak English?" with a hopeful expression.
Chan, surprised, stopped in his tracks and looked at Jane with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. "I'm Chan from Stray Kids," he said, introducing himself. "Nice to meet you."
Jane's face lit up as she introduced herself, saying "I'm Jane, a huge fan of Stray Kids. I can't believe I finally get to meet you!"
Chan smiled, saying "It's great to meet you too, Jane. Is there anything I can help you with?"
Jane hesitated for a moment, then said "Well, I was actually hoping to get to know you better. Would you like to grab a coffee with me?"
Chan was taken aback but impressed by Jane's boldness. He agreed, saying "Sure, I'd love to."
The scene ended with Jane and Chan walking towards a nearby coffee shop, with Sarah watching from a distance, grinning at her friend's success.
As they walked, Jane and Chan exchanged playful banter, their chemistry palpable. Sarah couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy, but she pushed it aside, happy for her friend.
"So, Jane," Chan said, a twinkle in his eye. "What made you pretend to be lost just to meet me?"
Jane laughed, "I couldn't resist the opportunity to meet you in person. And I figured, why not have a little fun while I'm at it?"
Chan chuckled, "Well, I'm glad you did. I'm always up for a good time."
As they continued to walk, Sarah couldn't help but feel proud of her friend. Jane was strong, controlling, and direct, just as she had always been. And she wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted.
The English trap had worked, and Jane had caught her prey. But little did she know, this was just the beginning of their story.
