The air was thick with the scent of pine and danger as the trio stumbled through the dense forest, their breaths ragged and their laughter long since faded. Mia, the fiercest of the three, led the way, her sharp green eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of the predator they knew was stalking them. 'Keep talking, Jake. I’ll use your sorry ass as bait if it means I get out of here alive,' she shot back, her voice dripping with venom and a hint of something darker—something hungry. Her gaze flicked to Lila, who rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide the flush creeping up her cheeks.

'Mia, you’re such a bitch sometimes,' Lila said, but there was a playful edge to her tone. She adjusted her backpack, her lithe frame glistening with perspiration under the moonlight. 'But honestly, if we’re gonna die, I’d rather go out with a bang, not a whimper. You know what I mean?' Her wink was unmistakable, and Mia’s smirk deepened.

'Oh, I know exactly what you mean,' Mia purred, stepping closer to Lila, their bodies almost brushing as the tension between them crackled like a live wire.
