The warm, cozy living room of Y/n and Maisie Williams had taken on a new, more ominous atmosphere. Gone were the plush cushions and blankets, replaced by a cold, steel noose hanging from a rafter above. The couple, both naked, exchanged playful insults and banter as they prepared for what was to come.
"I can't believe you can't even tie a proper knot," Maisie teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she adjusted the noose around Y/n's neck.
"And I can't believe you call that fashion," Y/n retorted, gesturing to Maisie's eccentric ensemble of mismatched patterns and clashing colors.
Maisie stuck her tongue out at him, testing the strength of the noose. "I hope this thing can hold you," she joked, eyeing Y/n's ample frame.
Y/n rolled his eyes, setting up a chair for Maisie. "You always have to be in control, don't you?"
Maisie smirked, stepping onto the chair and adjusting the noose around her neck. "Someone has to be, especially when you're around."
Y/n climbed onto a stool, making a show of his own preparations. "I'll have you know, I'm quite the expert at this sort of thing."
Maisie raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?"
Y/n nodded, striking a dramatic pose. "I've had plenty of practice."
Maisie couldn't help but laugh at his antics. "Well, I hope you're as good at this as you are at everything else."
Y/n grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Oh, I assure you, I am."
Maisie made a final joke about Y/n's "tiny" problem, causing them both to burst into laughter. They took a moment to appreciate each other, expressing their love and gratitude.
"I love you, Y/n," Maisie said, her voice filled with sincerity.
"I love you too, Maisie," Y/n replied, his voice thick with emotion.
Maisie counted down from three, and they both kicked the stool and chair away. Their bodies jerked and twitched as the noose took effect. Maisie's eyes rolled back in her head, and she let out a final, playful insult.
"You always were a pain in the ass," she said, a small smile on her lips.
Y/n's face turned purple, and he struggled to get the last word in.
"And you were always worth it," he said, his voice barely audible.
The screen went black, leaving the reader to imagine the couple's final moments together. The new normal, indeed.
