First Sparks Ignite

First Sparks Ignite

Chapter 1: The Electric Encounter

The restaurant was a dimly lit haven of clinking glasses and murmured secrets, the kind of place where a first date could either fizzle or flare into something unforgettable. Mia sat at the corner table, her crimson dress hugging her curves like a lover’s promise, her dark hair cascading over one shoulder. She wasn’t nervous—hell, she didn’t do nervous. She was a woman who knew what she wanted, and tonight, she wanted to see if Ethan could keep up.

Ethan strode in, all sharp lines and confidence, his tailored jacket doing little to hide the broad shoulders beneath. His eyes locked on hers from across the room, a smirk tugging at his lips as he approached. 'Well, damn,' he said, sliding into the seat opposite her, 'you look like trouble wrapped in sin. Am I in over my head already?'

Mia’s lips curled into a wicked grin, her gaze unflinching. 'Only if you can’t swim, sweetheart. I don’t do lifeguards.' She leaned forward, her voice dropping to a purr. 'So, tell me, Ethan, are you all talk, or do you bite?'

He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that sent a shiver down her spine. 'Oh, I bite, Mia. But only when I’m sure the prey’s worth the hunt. You game to find out?'

Their banter was a dance, sharp and electric, each quip a spark that fueled the heat building between them. Over glasses of wine, they sparred with words, dissecting everything from bad exes to wildest fantasies. 'So,' Ethan said, his voice husky as he leaned closer, his fingers brushing the stem of his glass, 'what’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done on a first date?'

Mia’s eyes glinted with mischief. 'Wouldn’t you like to know? Let’s just say I’ve left a few jaws on the floor. Your turn—ever been so horny you couldn’t wait to get out of a place like this?'

His smirk widened, a dangerous edge to it. 'Right now, I’m damn close. You’ve got me half-hard just sitting here, trying not to imagine how that dress would look on my floor.'

She laughed, a throaty sound that made his pulse race. 'Bold, aren’t you? Keep talking like that, and I might just drag you out of here myself. I’m not one for patience.'

By the time the check came, the air between them was thick with tension, a live wire waiting to snap. Mia stood, her hips swaying as she walked toward the exit, tossing a glance over her shoulder. 'Coming, or are you just gonna sit there fantasizing?'

Ethan was on his feet in a heartbeat, following her into the cool night air. The alley beside the restaurant was shadowed, private, and when she turned to face him, her eyes were fire. 'You’ve got five seconds to decide if you’re man enough to handle me,' she challenged, stepping closer, her breath hot against his lips.

'Five seconds?' he growled, his hands finding her waist, pulling her against him. 'I decided the moment I saw you. I’m gonna make you sweat, Mia, right here, right now.'

Her fingers tangled in his hair, tugging hard as she crushed her mouth to his, the kiss raw and hungry. She could feel him, hard against her thigh, and she grinned into the kiss, her voice a wicked whisper. 'Show me what you’ve got, then. I’m already wet, and I don’t wait for slowpokes.'

Their bodies pressed against the rough brick wall, hands roaming, breaths panting, the promise of something explosive igniting in the dark. Her nails scraped down his back as his lips found her neck, and she knew—this was just the beginning of a night neither of them would forget.
