Chapter 1: The Unwelcome Cure
Dr. Elise Harper strode into the sterile hospital room with the confidence of a woman who knew she owned every space she entered. Her white coat clung to her athletic frame, and her piercing green eyes scanned the chart in her hand before landing on her patient, Mia Bennett. Mia, a fiery 28-year-old with a sharp tongue and a penchant for trouble, sat on the edge of the bed, her arms crossed defiantly over her chest. Her dark hair was tousled, and her full lips curled into a smirk as she eyed the doctor.
‘So, Doc,’ Mia drawled, her voice dripping with sarcasm, ‘what’s the verdict? Am I dying, or are you just here to waste my time?’
Elise raised an eyebrow, unfazed. ‘Oh, you’re far from dying, Ms. Bennett. But your attitude might just kill someone else’s patience. You’ve got a severe intestinal blockage. We need to clear it out before it becomes a real problem.’
Mia snorted, leaning back on her hands. ‘Clear it out? What, like a plumber with a plunger? I’m not some clogged drain, sweetheart.’
Elise’s lips twitched into a sly smile as she set the chart down. ‘Not quite. We’re going with an enema. And trust me, I’m very good at getting things… flowing.’ Her tone was laced with a teasing edge, her gaze locking onto Mia’s with an intensity that made the air in the room crackle.
Mia’s smirk faltered for a split second, her cheeks flushing despite herself. ‘An enema? You’ve got to be kidding me. I’m not letting you shove anything up my ass for shits and giggles—literally.’
Elise stepped closer, her presence commanding as she leaned in just enough for Mia to catch the faint scent of her jasmine perfume. ‘It’s not a request, Mia. It’s a necessity. And I promise, I’ll make it as… comfortable as possible.’ Her voice dropped to a sultry whisper, and Mia’s breath hitched, her bravado wavering under the doctor’s unflinching stare.
‘Comfortable, huh?’ Mia shot back, trying to regain her footing. ‘What, you gonna sweet-talk my colon into submission? I’m not some damsel in distress, Doc. I don’t bend over for just anyone.’
Elise chuckled, a low, throaty sound that sent a shiver down Mia’s spine. ‘Oh, I don’t expect you to bend over without a fight. But I’m very persuasive. And I always get what I want.’ She straightened, her eyes glinting with challenge. ‘Now, strip down to the gown and lie on your side. Let’s get this started.’
Mia hesitated, her pulse quickening as she weighed her options. She wasn’t one to back down, but there was something about Elise’s commanding presence that made her body hum with an unexpected heat. Grumbling under her breath, she slid off the bed and began to peel off her clothes, her movements deliberate, almost taunting. ‘Fine. But if I don’t get a damn good story out of this humiliation, I’m suing for emotional distress.’
Elise watched, her gaze unapologetically roaming over Mia’s toned body as the hospital gown slipped into place. ‘Trust me, Mia. By the time I’m done with you, you’ll have a story worth telling.’ She gestured to the bed, her voice firm but laced with a promise of something more. ‘On your side. Now.’
Mia complied, her heart pounding as she positioned herself, the thin fabric of the gown doing little to hide her curves. She felt exposed, vulnerable—but also strangely exhilarated. Elise moved behind her, her movements precise as she prepared the equipment, the faint sound of latex gloves snapping into place making Mia’s skin prickle.
‘Relax,’ Elise murmured, her hand brushing lightly against Mia’s hip, sending a jolt of electricity through her. ‘I’ve got you.’
Mia bit her lip, her voice sharp but trembling with anticipation. ‘You better, Doc. Because if this goes south, I’m coming for you.’
Elise’s laugh was soft, wicked. ‘Oh, I’m counting on it.’ Her fingers lingered for a moment longer than necessary, the tension between them building to a fever pitch as the procedure began. Mia’s breath came faster, her body caught between resistance and a growing, undeniable heat. Whatever happened next, she knew one thing for sure—this was going to be anything but clinical.
