Forbidden Flames: A Weekend with Aunt Lila

Forbidden Flames: A Weekend with Aunt Lila

Chapter 1: The Arrival

The train screeched to a halt, and Ethan stepped onto the platform of Cresthaven, a small city far from the chaos of his everyday life. At 24, he was restless, hungry for something beyond the mundane. He hadn’t seen Aunt Lila in years—not since he was a scrawny teen with braces. Now, with a chiseled jaw and a confident stride, he was here for a weekend visit at her invitation. Something in her voice over the phone had hinted at more than just a family catch-up. There was a purr, a tease, that had kept him up at night for weeks.

Lila was waiting at the station, leaning against her sleek black car, her crimson sundress hugging every curve of her athletic frame. At 38, she was a vision—long, dark hair cascading over her shoulders, piercing green eyes that seemed to strip him bare. She smirked as he approached, her gaze lingering just a second too long on his broad shoulders.

“Well, damn, Ethan. You’ve grown into quite the man, haven’t you?” Her voice was smooth, dripping with mischief as she pushed off the car, hips swaying with purpose.

Ethan grinned, adjusting the strap of his duffel bag. “And you’ve only gotten hotter, Aunt Lila. What’s your secret? Deal with the devil?”

She laughed, a low, throaty sound that sent a jolt straight to his core. “Oh, honey, I don’t need the devil. I make my own heat. Get in. I’ve got plans for us.”

The drive to her upscale loft was charged with tension. Every glance, every brush of her hand against the gearshift felt like a dare. She caught him staring at the way her dress rode up her thigh and smirked again. “Eyes on the road, nephew. Or are you already imagining things you shouldn’t?”

“Hard not to,” he shot back, his voice rough. “You’re not exactly playing the sweet, innocent auntie here.”

Lila’s eyes gleamed with challenge. “Sweet? Innocent? Oh, Ethan, I’m the kind of trouble you’ve been craving. Question is, can you handle it?”

By the time they reached her loft, the air between them crackled. She poured them each a glass of wine, her movements deliberate, predatory. Standing close—too close—she handed him the glass, her fingers brushing his. “To family reunions,” she toasted, her voice a seductive whisper. “And to breaking all the rules.”

Ethan’s pulse raced as he clinked his glass against hers. “Rules are overrated,” he murmured, stepping closer, the heat of her body pulling him in like a magnet.

Lila’s lips curled into a wicked smile as she set her glass down, her hand trailing up his chest. “Then let’s burn them to ash.” Her breath was hot against his ear, and before he could think, her lips crashed into his—fierce, demanding. She wasn’t asking for permission; she was taking what she wanted. And fuck, he wanted it too.

Their kiss deepened, tongues battling for dominance as hands roamed with reckless hunger. She shoved him against the counter, her nails digging into his shoulders, her body pressed tight against his. He could feel himself getting hard, the ache for her growing unbearable. Her hand slid down, teasing over the bulge in his jeans, and she chuckled darkly. “Already so eager for me, huh? Bet you’ve been thinking about this for days.”

“Weeks,” he growled, gripping her hips, pulling her closer. “You’ve got no idea how bad I want to taste every inch of you.”

Her eyes flashed with raw desire. “Then stop talking and start showing me.” She tugged at his shirt, buttons popping as she yanked it open, her gaze raking over his chest like she was starving. The room was spinning, the forbidden thrill of it all making his blood pound. He knew they were crossing a line, but with her panting against him, her scent driving him wild, he didn’t care. All he could think about was how wet she must be, how much he needed to feel her dripping for him.

As they stumbled toward the couch, clothes shedding in a frenzy, the weekend was just beginning—and it promised to be one hell of a ride.
