Forbidden Flames

Chapter 1: Sparks in the Shadows

The air in the old family cabin was thick with the scent of pine and unspoken tension. It was supposed to be a simple weekend getaway, a chance for Lila and her older brother, Ethan, to reconnect after years of drifting apart. At 28, Lila was a force of nature—sharp-tongued, fiercely independent, and unapologetically herself. Ethan, 32, was the brooding type, all quiet intensity and smoldering glances that could unravel anyone if they lingered too long. They hadn’t seen each other in over a year, not since their last family reunion turned into a shouting match over old grudges. But now, alone in the remote woods with no cell service and a storm brewing outside, the past felt dangerously close.

Lila tossed another log into the fireplace, the crackle of flames punctuating the silence. She caught Ethan staring, his dark eyes tracing the curve of her hip in her tight jeans. She smirked, brushing her auburn hair over her shoulder. 'Eyes up, big brother. I’m not on the menu.'

Ethan leaned back in his chair, a slow, predatory grin spreading across his face. 'Oh, come on, Lila. You’ve been strutting around like you own the place since we got here. Don’t pretend you don’t like the attention.'

She spun on her heel, hands on her hips, her green eyes flashing. 'Attention? From you? I’d rather fuck a cactus. At least it’d have more personality.'

He laughed, low and rough, the sound sending a shiver down her spine despite herself. 'Keep talking, sis. That mouth of yours is gonna get you in trouble.'

'Trouble’s my middle name, asshole. You should know that by now.' She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a taunt. 'What’s your excuse? Too scared to make a move, or just not man enough?'

Ethan’s jaw tightened, his gaze darkening as he stood, towering over her. The space between them crackled, electric and forbidden. 'You’ve got no idea what I’m capable of, Lila. Keep pushing, and I’ll show you.'

Her breath hitched, but she didn’t back down, her chin tilting defiantly. 'Promises, promises. I bet you’re all talk.'

In a flash, he closed the distance, his hand gripping her waist with a roughness that made her gasp. Her body pressed against his, the heat of him searing through her thin tank top. She could feel how hard he was already, his cock straining against his jeans, and damn if it didn’t make her wet just thinking about it. 'Careful, Ethan,' she purred, her nails digging into his chest. 'You start this, I’m not gonna play nice.'

'Good,' he growled, his lips hovering an inch from hers. 'I don’t want nice. I want you dripping for me, begging to feel every inch.'

Her pussy clenched at his words, a rush of heat flooding her core. She hated how much she wanted this, hated how much she wanted him. But as the storm raged outside, the cabin seemed to shrink around them, the world narrowing to the pounding of her heart and the raw, hungry look in his eyes. One more push, one more word, and they’d cross a line they could never uncross...
