Forbidden Glances

**Chapter 1: The Unseen Temptation**

The summer heat clung to the air like a lover’s breath, heavy and insistent, as Mia lounged by the pool in her family’s sprawling backyard. At twenty-five, she was a force of nature—sharp-tongued, fiercely independent, and unapologetically herself. Her bikini, a daring red number, hugged her curves as she sipped a chilled lemonade, her eyes hidden behind oversized sunglasses. She was home for the weekend, a rare break from her high-powered job as a marketing exec, and she intended to soak up every second of it.

Her father, Daniel, emerged from the house, a towel slung over his broad shoulder. At forty-eight, he was still a striking man—tall, muscular from years of manual labor before his construction business took off, and carrying an air of quiet confidence. Mia had always admired his strength, but today, something felt... different. As he approached the pool, she caught herself staring a little too long at the way his swim trunks hung low on his hips, outlining something she hadn’t noticed before. Something... substantial.

“Damn, Dad, you trying to outshine the sun or what?” Mia quipped, pushing her sunglasses up to flash him a teasing smirk. She wasn’t about to let whatever weird tension she felt show. No way.

Daniel chuckled, his deep voice rolling like thunder. “Gotta keep up with you, kiddo. You’re out here looking like trouble in that getup. Should I be worried about the neighbors complaining?”

Mia laughed, sitting up straighter, her toned legs glistening with sunscreen. “Oh, please. If they’re complaining, it’s ‘cause they’re jealous. Besides, I’m not the one walking around with—” She stopped herself, biting her lip. She wasn’t going there. Not out loud.

“With what?” Daniel raised an eyebrow, dropping his towel on a chair and crossing his arms. His gaze was playful, but there was a spark of something else in it—something that made Mia’s pulse quicken.

“Nothing,” she shot back, her voice dripping with mock innocence. “Just didn’t know you were packing so much... confidence.” Her eyes flicked downward for a split second before she caught herself, heat creeping up her neck. What the hell was she doing?

Daniel’s smirk widened, and he stepped closer to the edge of the pool, the outline in his trunks impossible to ignore now. “Careful, Mia. You’re playing a dangerous game with that mouth of yours.”

She stood up, her body inches from his, the air between them crackling with unspoken tension. “Oh, I’m not playing, Dad. I’m winning. Question is, can you keep up?” Her voice was low, challenging, her eyes locked on his. She wasn’t backing down. Not now, not ever.

His jaw tightened, and for a moment, she thought she saw a flicker of raw desire in his gaze. “You’ve got no idea what you’re asking for,” he murmured, his voice rough, almost a growl.

Mia’s lips parted, her breath hitching as she felt a rush of heat between her thighs. She was wet already, damn it, and she hated how much she wanted to push this further. “Try me,” she whispered, stepping even closer, her chest brushing against his.

Daniel’s hands twitched at his sides, like he was fighting every instinct to grab her. The pool water lapped quietly behind them, the only sound besides their quickening breaths. Mia could feel how hard he was through the thin fabric of his trunks, and it sent a jolt through her, making her pussy ache with a need she couldn’t ignore. She was dripping now, her body betraying every ounce of her bravado.

“Fuck, Mia,” he breathed, his voice strained, sweat beading on his brow. “You’re gonna be the death of me.”

She grinned, wicked and unapologetic, her hand brushing against his thigh as she leaned in, her lips hovering near his ear. “Then let’s make it a hell of a way to go.”

Their eyes locked, the world narrowing to just the two of them, the heat, the hunger. And as her fingers dared to trace higher, teasing the edge of his trunks, she knew there was no turning back.
