Forbidden Glances: A Hong Kong Temptation

### Chapter One: The Tempting Takeoff

The air at Changi Airport was thick with the hum of anticipation, a symphony of rolling suitcases, hurried goodbyes, and the occasional overhead announcement in three languages. Jun stood near the check-in counter, his carry-on slung over one shoulder, pretending to scroll through his phone while his eyes betrayed him. They kept darting toward Angeline, who stood a few paces away, her presence impossible to ignore. She was a vision in a fitted cheongsam, the deep crimson silk clinging to her thick thighs and accentuating every curve with an almost cruel precision. The high collar and intricate embroidery screamed tradition, but the way she wore it—shoulders back, chin tilted just so—screamed dominance. Her stern demeanor only added to the allure, a silent warning that she wasn’t to be trifled with.

Nicole, oblivious to the undercurrent of tension, was a whirlwind of last-minute chaos beside them, rifling through her purse for their boarding passes. “I swear, if I’ve forgotten the hotel confirmation again, I’m just going to sleep on the streets of Hong Kong,” she muttered, her voice tinged with exasperation. “Jun, you’ve got the itinerary on your phone, right? Right?”

Jun barely registered her words, his attention snagged by the way Angeline adjusted the strap of her handbag, her movements deliberate and sharp. “Yeah, yeah, I’ve got it,” he mumbled, his gaze lingering a second too long on the slit of Angeline’s dress, revealing just a hint of smooth skin as she shifted her weight.

Angeline’s dark eyes snapped to his, catching him mid-stare. Her lips pressed into a thin line, and for a moment, Jun felt the weight of her disapproval like a physical blow. Then, with a voice as cutting as a blade, she spoke. “If you’re done gawking, perhaps you’d like to help Nicole instead of treating me like some exhibit at the zoo. Eyes up here, boy.”

Jun’s face flushed a deep crimson, rivaling the shade of her dress. He stammered, “I—I wasn’t—sorry, I didn’t mean to—”

“Save it,” Angeline interrupted, her tone dripping with disdain, though a flicker of amusement danced in her eyes. “I’ve seen puppies with better self-control. Keep those wandering eyes in check, or I’ll make sure you regret it.”

Nicole, finally resurfacing from her purse with a triumphant “Got it!” remained blissfully unaware of the exchange. “Come on, you two, we’ve got to get through security. Angeline, stop scaring Jun—he’s already nervous about flying.”

“I’m not nervous,” Jun protested weakly, though his racing pulse had little to do with the impending flight and everything to do with the woman now striding ahead of them, her hips swaying with a confidence that bordered on weaponized.

Security was a blur, and before Jun knew it, they were boarding the plane to Hong Kong. A mix-up in seat assignments—Nicole’s doing, no doubt—landed him right next to Angeline in the narrow confines of economy class. Nicole, seated a row ahead, was already engrossed in the in-flight entertainment, her headphones on and her world blissfully shut off.

Jun settled into his seat, hyper-aware of Angeline’s proximity. Her jasmine perfume wafted toward him, a subtle yet intoxicating assault on his senses. He could feel the heat of her arm just inches from his, the fabric of her cheongsam brushing against the armrest as she crossed her legs with deliberate precision. He swallowed hard, trying to focus on the safety demonstration, but his mind was elsewhere—on forbidden fantasies, on the way her stern glare had both humiliated and electrified him.

“So,” he ventured, his voice a little too loud in the quiet cabin as the plane taxied down the runway. “First time to Hong Kong?”

Angeline turned her head slowly, her expression one of thinly veiled irritation. “Really? That’s your opener? I expected something a little less... pedestrian.” Her lips quirked into a smirk, sharp and dangerous. “Let me guess, next you’ll ask about the weather.”

Jun chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck. “Okay, fair point. How about... what’s a woman like you doing on a trip with a couple of nobodies like us?”

Her smirk widened, but there was no warmth in it. “Oh, Jun, flattery won’t get you anywhere with me. I’m here because Nicole begged, and I’m a sucker for dim sum. Not because I’m charmed by your... what is this, exactly? Awkward small talk? Desperate charm? Pick one and stick to it.”

He grinned despite himself, leaning in just a fraction. “Desperate charm. I’ll own that. But come on, you’ve got to admit, I’m at least a little endearing.”

“Endearing,” she repeated, her voice dripping with mockery as she leaned back in her seat, her eyes narrowing. “Like a mosquito buzzing in my ear. Keep trying, little boy. Maybe by the end of this flight, you’ll stumble on something resembling wit.”

Jun’s heart thudded in his chest, a mix of embarrassment and thrill coursing through him. Her words stung, but there was something about the way she wielded them—like a whip, precise and intentional—that only fueled his desire. He shifted in his seat, trying to focus on the view out the window as the plane ascended, the city of Singapore shrinking below them. But every breath he took was laced with her scent, every accidental brush of their elbows a jolt to his system.

“You’re quiet now,” Angeline observed after a few minutes of silence, her tone almost taunting. “What, did I break you already? I thought you had more fight in you.”

He turned to her, meeting her gaze with a spark of defiance. “Nah, just strategizing. Figured I’d give you a break before I dazzle you with my next attempt.”

She let out a low, throaty laugh, the sound sending a shiver down his spine. “Dazzle me? Oh, sweetheart, I’d love to see you try. But let’s get one thing straight—I’m not some prize to be won. If I decide to entertain your little games, it’ll be on my terms. Understood?”

“Understood,” he replied, his voice quieter now, but his mind was anything but subdued. As the plane leveled out and the cabin lights dimmed, Jun’s thoughts churned with possibilities. Angeline’s presence beside him was a challenge, a forbidden fruit wrapped in silk and sternness. He couldn’t help but plot subtle ways to get closer during this trip—to test the waters, to steal another glance, to provoke another sharp retort that would only stoke the fire burning within him.

The flight to Hong Kong was short, but to Jun, it felt like an eternity of delicious tension. And as the captain announced their descent, he knew one thing for certain: this trip was going to be anything but ordinary.
