Chapter 1: Sparks in the Shadows
The late afternoon sun spilled through the cracked blinds of Giyas’ small apartment, casting golden streaks across the hardwood floor. He lounged on the worn-out couch, a half-empty beer in hand, when the door swung open with a dramatic flair. In strutted his cousin, Lila, fresh from her final semester at college, her backpack slung over one shoulder and a smirk that could stop traffic.
“Well, well, if it isn’t my favorite slacker,” Lila teased, kicking off her sneakers and tossing her bag onto the floor. Her dark hair was a wild cascade over her shoulders, and her tight tank top clung to every curve. Giyas couldn’t help but notice the way her jeans hugged her hips, but he quickly averted his gaze, clearing his throat.
“Welcome back, troublemaker,” he shot back, sitting up straighter. “Thought you’d be too busy with frat boys to visit your boring cousin.”
Lila laughed, a sharp, musical sound, as she plopped down next to him, snatching the beer from his hand and taking a long sip. “Frat boys? Please. I chew them up and spit them out before breakfast. I’m here for some real entertainment.” Her eyes glinted with mischief as she handed the bottle back, her fingers brushing against his just a little too long.
Giyas felt a heat creep up his neck, but he masked it with a grin. “Careful, Lila. You play with fire, you’re gonna get burned.”
“Oh, I’m counting on it,” she purred, leaning in closer, her breath warm against his ear. “Question is, can you keep up, or are you all talk?”
The air between them crackled, charged with something dangerous and unspoken. Giyas’ pulse quickened as her hand rested on his thigh, her touch bold and unapologetic. He met her gaze, her eyes daring him to make a move. “You’re crossing a line, cousin,” he warned, voice low, but there was no real conviction in it.
“Lines are meant to be crossed,” Lila countered, her lips curling into a wicked smile. She shifted, straddling his lap in one fluid motion, her hands sliding up his chest. “Unless you’re scared of a little heat.”
His hands instinctively gripped her waist, feeling the strength in her frame, the confidence that radiated from her. “Scared? Nah. Just wondering how long before you beg for mercy,” he quipped, his voice rough with desire.
“Begging’s not my style,” she retorted, grinding against him just enough to make him groan. “But I’ll have you panting for more before the night’s over.”
Their banter dissolved into heavy breaths as her lips crashed into his, fierce and demanding. The taste of beer and forbidden thrill mingled on their tongues, and Giyas felt himself growing hard beneath her, the tension building like a storm. Lila’s fingers tugged at his shirt, her nails grazing his skin, while his hands roamed lower, cupping her firm ass with a hunger he couldn’t deny. She was wet already—he could sense it, the heat between them dripping with raw need.
As they tore at each other’s clothes, the world outside faded, leaving only the promise of an explosive release. Lila’s voice was a husky whisper against his neck. “Let’s see how long you last, Giyas. I’m just getting started.”
