Forbidden Heat: The Prince's Undoing

Forbidden Heat: The Prince's Undoing

Chapter 1: The Unraveling

The air in the crown prince’s private chambers was thick with unspoken tension, a storm brewing beneath the polished surface of royalty. Alberu Crossman, the golden-haired heir to the Roan Kingdom, sat behind his ornate desk, his sharp blue eyes scanning endless parchments. His face, usually a mask of regal composure, was pale, almost ghostly, with dark circles etched beneath his eyes. At 21, he carried the weight of a kingdom—and a secret that could shatter it all. He was an Omega, a truth buried under years of dangerous suppressants and sheer willpower. But today, something felt... off. A creeping heat simmered beneath his skin, a warning he couldn’t ignore.

The heavy oak door creaked open, and in strode Cale Henituse, his adopted brother, with the casual arrogance of an Alpha who knew his power. Behind him was Choi Han, the prince’s fencing mentor, his dark eyes scanning the room with a predator’s instinct. Both men exuded raw strength, their presence filling the space like a tangible force. Alberu’s heart stuttered, though he masked it with a wry smile.

‘Tch, you look like death warmed over, Your Highness,’ Cale drawled, tossing his crimson hair back as he leaned against the desk, far too close for comfort. ‘When’s the last time you slept? Or ate something that wasn’t a diplomatic insult?’

Alberu’s lips twitched, a sharp retort ready. ‘If I wanted a nanny, Cale, I’d hire one. I’m fine. Just busy keeping this kingdom from falling apart—something you’d know nothing about, considering you spend your days lazing around.’

Choi Han chuckled, his deep voice a low rumble as he crossed his arms, muscles flexing beneath his tight shirt. ‘He’s got a point, Cale. But seriously, Alberu, you’re pushing too hard. Even a prince needs to breathe.’ His gaze lingered a little too long, something primal flickering in his eyes.

Alberu shifted in his seat, a bead of sweat trickling down his temple. The heat was growing, clawing at his insides with vicious intent. He gripped the edge of the desk, nails digging into the wood. ‘I appreciate the concern, but I’m not some damsel in distress. I can handle myself.’ His voice was steady, but his body betrayed him—a faint tremor, a flush creeping up his neck.

Cale’s smirk faded, his sharp senses picking up on the shift. He leaned closer, nostrils flaring as he inhaled deeply. ‘What the hell is that scent?’ His tone was low, dangerous, his Alpha instincts kicking in. Choi Han stiffened, his own eyes darkening as he stepped forward, almost involuntarily.

‘Back off,’ Alberu snapped, his voice cutting like a blade, though it wavered with the strain of holding himself together. ‘I said I’m fine.’ But he wasn’t. The heat was crashing over him now, a tidal wave of need and pain, his body screaming for something he’d denied for years. His vision blurred, and he stood abruptly, staggering as his legs threatened to give out.

‘Alberu—’ Choi Han reached for him, his hand brushing the prince’s arm. The contact was electric, sending a jolt through Alberu’s already fraying control. He jerked away, panting, his chest heaving as he fought the primal urge to submit to the Alphas before him.

‘Don’t touch me,’ he hissed, but his words lacked their usual bite. His body was betraying him, a slick warmth building between his thighs, his scent growing stronger, intoxicating. Cale’s eyes were near feral now, his jaw tight as he growled, ‘You’re an Omega. How the fuck did we not know?’

‘I hid it,’ Alberu spat, his pride warring with the agony tearing through him. ‘And I’ll keep hiding it. So get out. Now.’

But neither man moved. The air was thick with raw, animalistic desire, their Alpha natures clawing to the surface. Choi Han’s voice was a rough whisper, ‘We can’t just leave you like this. You’re in pain.’

‘I don’t need your pity,’ Alberu shot back, but his knees buckled, and he caught himself on the desk, his breaths shallow and ragged. Cale was on him in an instant, his hands gripping Alberu’s shoulders, his touch burning through the thin fabric of the prince’s shirt.

‘This isn’t pity,’ Cale growled, his voice dripping with hunger. ‘You’re driving us insane with that scent. Do you have any idea how hard it is to hold back?’

Alberu’s sharp tongue lashed out even as his body screamed for more. ‘Then don’t. But know this—I’m not some weakling who’ll beg for it. If you can’t control yourselves, that’s your failing, not mine.’

The challenge in his words snapped something in both Alphas. Choi Han moved behind him, his breath hot against Alberu’s neck as he murmured, ‘You’re playing a dangerous game, Your Highness.’ The prince’s resolve wavered, the heat now a roaring inferno, his body aching, wet and dripping with need. Cale’s hand slid down Alberu’s chest, bold and unapologetic, as the prince’s sharp gasp echoed in the room.

The storm was about to break, and none of them could stop it.
