Forbidden Heat: The Prince's Undoing

Forbidden Heat: The Prince's Undoing

Chapter 1: The Breaking Point

The air in the Crown Prince’s private chambers was thick with tension, a storm brewing beneath the polished surface of royal decorum. Alberu Crossman, golden-haired and sharp-eyed at twenty-one, sat behind his ornate desk, quill scratching furiously against parchment. His face was pale, almost ghostly, with dark circles carved beneath his eyes—a testament to sleepless nights and a body pushed beyond its limits. He’d been hiding his true nature as an Omega for years, drowning his instincts in dangerous suppressants, starvation, and sheer willpower. But today, something felt... wrong. A creeping heat prickled at the base of his spine, a warning he couldn’t ignore.

The door swung open without a knock, and in strode Cale Henituse, his adopted brother, with that infuriatingly lazy smirk. Behind him was Choi Han, the prince’s fencing mentor, all stoic intensity and coiled strength. Both Alphas, both dangerously close to Alberu in ways that made his carefully constructed walls tremble.

“Oi, Your Highness,” Cale drawled, tossing a casual salute as he leaned against the doorframe. “You look like death warmed over. When’s the last time you ate something that wasn’t air?”

Alberu’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t look up from his work. “If you’re here to lecture me, Cale, save your breath. I’m fine.”

Choi Han’s dark eyes narrowed, stepping closer. “You’re not fine. You’re shaking. And you smell—” He stopped, nostrils flaring, a flicker of something primal crossing his usually composed face.

Alberu froze, his quill snapping in his grip. That smell. He could feel it now, the sweet, intoxicating scent of his own heat beginning to seep through the cracks of his control. No. Not now. Not in front of them. His heart raced as he shot to his feet, voice sharp as a blade. “Get out. Both of you. Now.”

Cale raised a brow, unfazed. “Oh, come off it, Alberu. What’s got you so rattled? We’re just here to drag your royal ass out of this tomb you call an office.” But his tone shifted, a low growl creeping in as he inhaled. “Wait... what the hell is that?”

Alberu’s hands clenched into fists, a bead of sweat trickling down his temple. “I said get out!” His voice cracked, betraying the storm inside him. The heat was clawing at his insides now, a painful, aggressive wave that made his knees buckle. He gripped the edge of the desk, panting softly, his body betraying him in the worst possible way.

Choi Han took a step forward, his voice low and strained. “Alberu... you’re an Omega? How did we not know?” There was a hunger in his gaze, an Alpha’s instinct battling with his ironclad discipline. “You’ve been hiding this... all this time?”

“Brilliant deduction, genius,” Alberu snapped, his usual composure fraying at the edges. “Now leave before I have you both thrown in the dungeons for insubordination.” But his words lacked bite, drowned out by the flush creeping up his neck, the way his body was starting to ache with a need he’d suppressed for years.

Cale chuckled, dark and dangerous, his own control slipping as he moved closer. “Dungeons, huh? I’d like to see you try, brother dearest. You’re in no state to throw anyone anywhere.” His eyes gleamed, raking over Alberu with an intensity that made the prince’s breath hitch. “You’re burning up. And fuck, you smell like sin.”

“Back off, Cale,” Alberu hissed, but his voice trembled, the heat now a wildfire in his veins. He could feel himself getting wet, the slickness between his thighs a humiliating betrayal. His pride warred with his body’s demands, but the presence of two Alphas—two men he trusted, desired, in ways he’d never dared admit—was unraveling him.

Choi Han’s hand twitched, as if fighting the urge to reach out. “We should go,” he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. But his feet didn’t move, rooted by the scent of Alberu’s heat, thick and dripping with promise. “We can’t... we shouldn’t...”

“Shouldn’t what?” Alberu shot back, his tone biting even as his body screamed for relief. “Stand there gawking while I lose my damn mind? If you’re so noble, then leave. Or are you both just animals after all?”

Cale’s smirk widened, a predator’s edge to it. “Oh, I’m an animal, alright. And you’re making it real hard to play nice, Your Highness.” He stepped closer, close enough that Alberu could feel the heat radiating off him, could see the bulge straining against his trousers. “Tell me to stop. Tell me you don’t want this.”

Alberu’s lips parted, a retort on the tip of his tongue, but the words died as another wave of heat slammed into him, making him gasp. His eyes locked with Cale’s, then flicked to Choi Han, whose restraint was visibly crumbling. The room was a pressure cooker, desire and instinct colliding with devastating force. And as Cale’s hand reached out, brushing against Alberu’s flushed cheek, the prince knew there was no turning back.
