Chapter 1: The Massage That Ignited Desire
The house was unusually quiet with Candy pulling a grueling 24-hour shift at the hospital. Andrew, still wired from a long day of medical charts and patient rounds, lounged on the couch with a glass of whiskey, the amber liquid catching the dim light of the living room. Emma, Candy’s younger sister, sat cross-legged on the floor, her fiery red hair cascading over her shoulder as she scrolled through job listings on her laptop. She wore a loose silk robe that hinted at the sensual lingerie beneath, a habit she’d picked up in Japan to feel empowered and beautiful.
“Goddamn it,” Emma muttered, rolling her neck with a grimace. “I’ve got a kink in my neck that’s killing me. Must’ve slept wrong last night.”
Andrew glanced over, his hazel eyes narrowing with concern. “You look like you’re in pain. Want me to take a look? I’m no masseuse, but I’ve got steady hands from all those surgeries.”
Emma smirked, her green eyes glinting with mischief. “Steady hands, huh? Alright, doc, let’s see if you can work some magic. But don’t get any funny ideas—I’m not one of your patients.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Andrew shot back, setting his glass down and moving to sit behind her on the floor. His fingers hesitated for a moment before pressing into the tight muscles of her neck. Emma let out a low groan, her head tilting forward. “Damn, that’s the spot. Harder, Andrew. Don’t be shy.”
His pulse quickened at her words, but he kept his tone light. “Bossy, aren’t we? Fine, I’ll dig in. Tell me if I’m too rough.” His thumbs worked in slow, deliberate circles, easing the tension as her silk robe slipped slightly off one shoulder, revealing a glimpse of black lace underneath. Andrew swallowed hard, trying to focus on the task, but the sight of her creamy skin and the faint scent of her jasmine perfume were intoxicating.
“Jesus, Emma, you’ve got knots for days,” he said, his voice a little huskier as his hands moved to her shoulders, then down her back. “You’ve been stressing too much.”
She chuckled, a throaty sound that sent a jolt through him. “Says the guy married to a woman who’s basically a superhero. You’re one to talk about stress. Bet Candy doesn’t even have time to—well, you know.”
Andrew’s jaw tightened, but he kept his tone playful. “Careful, Emma. You’re treading on thin ice. Let’s just say I’m managing.” His fingers brushed lower, tracing the curve of her spine, and the robe slipped further, exposing more of the intricate lace hugging her curves. He could feel the heat radiating from her body, and his own was responding in ways he couldn’t ignore.
Emma turned her head slightly, catching his gaze. “Managing, huh? You’ve got a hell of a way of ‘managing’ with those hands. You’re trouble, Andrew.” Her voice was laced with a challenge, her breath hitching as his fingers accidentally—or not—grazed the side of her breast through the thin fabric.
The air between them crackled. Andrew froze for a split second, then, emboldened by the whiskey and the forbidden tension, let his hands slide forward, cupping her full breasts over the lace. Emma gasped, but didn’t pull away. Instead, she arched into his touch, her voice a low growl. “You’ve got some nerve, doc. Think you can handle what you’re starting?”
“I’m not starting anything,” he murmured, his lips close to her ear, “unless you want me to finish it.” His thumbs brushed over her hardened nipples, and Emma’s control snapped. She turned, straddling his lap in one fluid motion, her robe falling open to reveal the full glory of her lingerie-clad body. Her eyes burned with raw desire as she gripped his shirt. “Then finish it, Andrew. I’m not some delicate flower. Show me what you’ve got.”
Their lips crashed together, hungry and desperate, as the world around them faded. The coffee table loomed nearby, and with a wicked grin, Emma pushed him back onto it, ready to take what she wanted. The night was just beginning, and they both knew there was no turning back.
