Forest Forge of Forbidden Bonds

### Chapter One: Cabin Fever and Family Ties

The morning sun filtered through the dense canopy of towering pines, casting dappled golden light across Kevin Williams’ secluded forest cabin. The rustic exterior belied a surprisingly modern interior, with polished wood beams framing a massive bed that dominated the single, open room. A modest kitchen area sat to one side, the scent of sizzling bacon and fresh coffee still lingering in the air. Outside, sheds for meat, weapons, and tools dotted the clearing, a testament to Kevin’s self-sufficient lifestyle deep in the wilderness, where the distant howl of wildlife was the only soundtrack.

Kevin, an 18-year-old with a rugged edge, sat at the head of a long, hand-carved table, his muscular frame mapped with scars that told stories of survival. His dark hair fell messily over his forehead as he shoveled the last bite of a hearty breakfast into his mouth. Around him, his unconventional family—a fierce, commanding group of women who had tracked him down after he fled their mockery years ago—lounged with the casual confidence of queens in exile. They were refugees from a kingdom now under Shao Kahn’s iron grip, and here, in this hidden sanctuary, they had forged a new, intimate dynamic with Kevin, who reveled in his dual role as protector and lover.

Sindel, his adopted mother, sat to his right, her silver hair cascading over her shoulders, her piercing gaze fixed on him with a mix of maternal pride and predatory amusement. “So, my little forest king,” she purred, her voice a velvet blade, “did you dream of ruling over us last night, or were you too busy snoring like a bear in heat?”

Kevin grinned, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “Only if you dreamed of kneeling, Mother. I’m still waiting for that ‘Master’ to roll off your tongue with some respect.”

Kitana, one of his sisters, leaned forward from across the table, her fan folded neatly in her lap, her sharp eyes glinting with mischief. “Oh, please, Kevin. The only thing we’re mastering is how to keep you from burning this cabin down with your cooking. Call yourself ‘Daddy’ all you want, but you’re still our little pup out here playing hermit.”

Mileena, Kitana’s twin and the more feral of the pair, bared her jagged teeth in a wicked smile, her tongue flicking out provocatively. “I don’t mind calling you Daddy, little brother. But only if you earn it. Maybe I’ll test your… stamina later. See if you can keep up with a real predator.”

Kevin’s cheeks flushed, but he held his ground, leaning back in his chair with a cocky smirk. “Careful, Mileena. I’ve tamed bigger beasts than you out here. Keep talking, and I’ll have you purring by sundown.”

Sonya Blade, one of his aunties, a battle-hardened blonde with a no-nonsense air, snorted from the other end of the table. “Boy, you couldn’t tame a kitten with a ball of yarn. You’re lucky we even found this dump of yours after you ran off sulking. What was it again? Oh, right, confessing your undying love and then crying into the woods when we laughed?”

Cassie Cage, Sonya’s daughter and just as brash, chimed in with a sly grin, twirling a butter knife between her fingers. “Yeah, Kev, real smooth. But hey, I’ll give you points for the glow-up. Look at you now, all scars and muscles. Almost makes me wanna take a bite… almost.”

Kevin rolled his eyes, but the heat in his chest was undeniable. “Keep it up, Cassie. I’ve got enough room out back to dig a hole for that smart mouth of yours.”

Li Mei, poised and elegant, sipped her coffee with a raised brow, her tone dripping with authority. “Enough, children. Kevin, you’ve done well making this place a home, but don’t think for a second we’re here to play damsel. We’re hiding from Shao Kahn, not babysitting your ego. So, what’s the plan today, ‘Master’?” Her lips curled mockingly around the title.

Jade, ever the strategist, leaned against the wall, her green eyes assessing him like a general sizing up a soldier. “Yes, do enlighten us. Or are you just going to chop wood and brood all day? We didn’t trek through hell to watch you play lumberjack.”

Jacqui Briggs, practical yet playful, crossed her arms, her toned biceps flexing as she smirked. “I’m with Jade. If I’m stuck in this cabin, I expect some entertainment, kid. And I don’t mean watching you swing an axe—unless it’s shirtless.”

Tanya, the most enigmatic of the group, let out a low, sultry laugh, her amber eyes glinting with promise. “Oh, I think we can arrange some fun without him, ladies. But Kevin, darling, if you’re a good boy, we might let you join in later. Emphasis on ‘might.’”

Kevin pushed back from the table, standing with a stretch that showed off every hard line of his body, well aware of the eyes on him. “Alright, alright, you pack of she-wolves. I’m heading out to gather materials for a forge. Gotta keep this place fortified if we’re gonna survive out here. Try not to burn the cabin down while I’m gone—or each other, for that matter.”

Sindel rose with a regal air, stepping close enough that her scent—something wild and intoxicating—filled his senses. She placed a hand on his chest, her nails lightly grazing his skin through his shirt. “Don’t worry, my sweet boy. We’ll keep ourselves occupied. But hurry back. I don’t like waiting, and neither does my patience.”

Kitana stood as well, brushing past him with a deliberate sway of her hips. “Yeah, don’t keep us waiting, ‘Daddy.’ We might just start without you.”

Mileena licked her lips, her voice a husky growl. “Or I might hunt you down myself. Don’t make me track you, little prey.”

Kevin chuckled, shaking his head as he grabbed his axe from the wall. “Threats, promises—call ‘em what you want. I’ll be back before you can miss me. Try not to plot too much chaos while I’m gone.”

As he stepped out into the crisp morning air, the door creaking shut behind him, the women exchanged knowing glances inside the cabin. Sindel sat back down, her posture commanding as ever, a sly smile playing on her lips. “Well, ladies, our little protector thinks he’s in charge. Shall we remind him who really runs this den?”

Cassie smirked, cracking her knuckles. “Oh, I’ve got a few ideas. Let’s make sure he comes back to a surprise he won’t forget. Something… steamy.”

Jade nodded, her mind already working. “Agreed. We’ve got time to plan. Let’s turn this cabin into a battlefield of a different kind. He wants to play ‘Master’? We’ll show him what it means to serve.”

Tanya’s laugh was a low, dangerous purr. “I like the sound of that. Let’s make sure our boy knows his place—on his knees, begging for more.”

As the women’s voices mingled with laughter and scheming whispers, the forest outside seemed to hum with anticipation. Kevin, oblivious to the storm brewing within his cabin, swung his axe over his shoulder and disappeared into the trees, the weight of his new life—and the desires of the powerful women who shared it—settling over him like the morning mist. Little did he know, the bonds of family and passion were about to tighten in ways he could only dream of.
