Forge-Born Daughter: When Adoption Sparks a Smoldering Scandal in the Realm of Nymphs

Chapter One: A Day at Daycare

The entrance of the daycare center was bustling with activity as Hephaestus, the god of the forge, fire, and volcanos, walked in with his daughter, Ivory, in tow. He had tan skin, dark brown hair, and a proud smile on his face as he waved goodbye to his little girl.

Just as Hephaestus was about to turn and leave, a young nymph approached him with a look of surprise on her face. "Is that your niece?" she asked, gesturing towards Ivory.

Hephaestus chuckled and corrected her. "No, she's my daughter."

The nymph's eyes flashed with disapproval. "Does she have any restrictions?" she asked, her tone dripping with skepticism.

Hephaestus listed off a few rules - no running with scissors, no hitting, and no biting. The nymph's disapproval grew with each restriction.

The nymph took Ivory by the hand and led her over to a group of friends. "Look at this," she said, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Hephaestus' niece. She doesn't even look like him."

Hephaestus, who had been hovering nearby, overheard the comment and confronted the nymph. "Excuse me, I couldn't help but overhear. Could you please repeat what you just said?"

The nymph, with a smug look on her face, repeated her comment.

Marjorie, a wise and experienced nymph, came over and Hephaestus explained the situation to her.

The nymph's face fell as she realized her mistake. "I'm so sorry," she stammered. "I didn't know Ivory was adopted."

Marjorie responded, "Of course she's adopted. Hephaestus is her father in every way that matters."

The nymph, embarrassed, apologized to Hephaestus and Ivory.

Hephaestus, with a playful smile, accepted the apology and told the nymph that she could make it up to Ivory by playing with her.

The nymph, grateful for the opportunity, enthusiastically agreed.

Hephaestus watched the interaction with a sense of pride and joy. He knew that Ivory would be well taken care of at the daycare center.

As he left the building, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. He may not have created Ivory himself, but he had chosen her, and that was all that mattered.

The chapter ended with Hephaestus walking away from the daycare center, confident that he had made the right decision in entrusting Ivory to the care of the nymphs.
