"I still can't find a date for that black-tie event next week," Chad complained, swirling his drink absentmindedly. "I specifically want to ask out a black woman this time."
Matt, his best friend and an amateur stage hypnotist, raised his eyebrows. "How about Dennis? He's a catch, and you know I think you two would make a great couple."
Chad snorted. "Very funny, Matt. You know I'm not into guys."
Matt leaned in, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Well, what if I told you I could hypnotize Dennis into becoming Denise, the perfect woman for your event? Someone who'll hang on your every word and make you the envy of every man there?"
Chad stared at him, unbelieving. "You're joking, right?"
"I'm dead serious," Matt said, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Invite Dennis to my show tomorrow night, and I'll prove it to you."
