The front door creaked open, and Jake walked into the large, open-concept living room of his spacious home. He let out a sigh of relief as he looked around, taking in the sight of his three daughters lounging on the couch. Each one of them was engrossed in a different book, their own little worlds.
Maria, the eldest, looked up and smirked at her father. “Looks like someone’s finally home. We were starting to think you abandoned us.”
Jake chuckled and walked over to his daughters, bending down to plant a kiss on Maria’s forehead. “Never, my dear. I could never abandon my favorite girls.”
Sarah rolled her eyes, but couldn’t hide the smile on her face. “You say that to all of us, Jake.”
Jake ruffled Sarah’s hair and moved on to Hailey, who was curled up in a ball with a stuffed animal. “And how’s my baby girl doing today?”
Hailey looked up at her father with big, doe eyes. “I missed you, Daddy.”
Jake’s heart melted, and he pulled Hailey into a tight hug. “I missed you too, sweetheart. Now, how about we go find your mother and see what’s for dinner?”
The girls jumped up from the couch and followed Jake into the kitchen, where Anna was cooking dinner completely naked. Jake couldn’t help but let his eyes roam over Anna’s body, taking in every curve and dip.
Anna noticed and raised an eyebrow at her husband. “Like what you see, Jake?”
Jake grinned and walked over to Anna, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Always, my love.”
The girls watched with amusement as their parents kissed passionately, before Anna pulled away and swatted Jake on the butt. “Go get changed and wash up for dinner, would you?”
Jake chuckled and headed off to the bedroom, leaving the girls and Anna alone in the kitchen.
Maria looked over at her mother with a sly smile. “You know, I’m starting to think you only married Dad for the sex.”
Anna laughed and shook her head. “Oh, honey. If only it were that simple.”
Anna turned back to the stove, and Maria couldn’t help but admire her mother’s confidence and strength. She was a woman who knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. Maria made a mental note to be more like her mother as she grew older.
As the family sat down to eat, Jake couldn’t help but feel grateful for the women in his life. His daughters were becoming strong, independent women, and Anna was the love of his life. He knew he was a lucky man, and he vowed to never take them for granted.
The dinner was filled with laughter and witty banter, and Jake found himself falling more in love with his family with each passing moment. He knew that no matter what life threw their way, they would always have each other.
As the night wore on, Jake couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment and happiness. He was home, surrounded by the women he loved, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
