The palace of Brigitte, the goddess of candy and sweets, was a vibrant and colorful space, filled with the tantalizing scents of sugar, chocolate, and spice. As the four goddesses entered, each carrying their newborns, they greeted each other warmly, with playful insults and teasing.
"Brigitte, your palace is as sweet as ever," said Hera, the goddess of marriage and childbirth, with a wink.
"And you, Hera, are as sour as a lemon drop," Brigitte retorted, causing the other goddesses to laugh.
Amphimtrite, the goddess of the sea, entered next, her long hair damp from the ocean. "Greetings, my dear friends. I see you've all been busy popping out babies like candy from a machine."
Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, rolled her eyes. "At least our babies are alive, unlike your sea monsters."
Brigitte offered them a tour of her palace, showing off her candy-making facilities and the room where she breastfed Solace. "This is where the magic happens," she said, gesturing to a large vat of boiling sugar.
Hera and Persephone revealed that they bottle-fed Jason and the twins, leading to a friendly debate on the benefits of breastfeeding versus bottle-feeding.
"Breastfeeding is the natural way," said Brigitte, holding Solace close. "It's best for the baby and the mother."
"But bottle-feeding is more convenient," argued Hera. "I can't be tied down to a baby all the time."
Amphimtrite shared that Perseus had been sleeping through the night, while Solace had been waking up frequently. Brigitte playfully called Amphimtrite a "show-off" and asked for advice.
"Just give him a little bit of honey before bed," Amphimtrite suggested. "It helps them sleep like a baby."
The goddesses discussed how their husbands had been treating them since they were postpartum. Hera complained about Zeus's lack of help, while Brigitte praised Apollo for his support.
"Apollo has been amazing," Brigitte gushed. "He's been helping with everything, from changing diapers to rocking Solace to sleep."
The other goddesses shared their own experiences. Persephone mentioned that Hades was distant and cold towards Nico and Bianca, while Amphimtrite shared that Poseidon was overly protective of Perseus.
Brigitte suggested that they take a break and enjoy some candy and sweets, which they all agreed to. They sat down and engaged in light-hearted conversation, enjoying each other's company.
The goddesses discussed their plans for the future, including raising their children and continuing their duties as goddesses. They agreed to meet again soon, promising to keep each other updated on their babies' progress.
As they left, Brigitte thanked them for coming and looked forward to their next gathering. The goddesses left, each returning to their own palace, already looking forward to their next meeting.
The palace of Brigitte was once again filled with the sounds of laughter and playful banter, a haven for the goddesses to escape from their duties and enjoy each other's company. And as they left, they couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie and sisterhood, knowing that they were all in this journey of motherhood together.
