The sun beat down on Leticia's back as she knelt by the grave, a shovel resting beside her. Tears streamed down her face as she muttered to herself, "How could she? How could she take advantage of his innocence and purity?"
Leticia's friend, Marla, walked into the backyard and stopped in her tracks when she saw Leticia digging by the grave. "Leticia, what on earth are you doing?" she asked, her voice laced with shock.
Leticia looked up, her eyes red and swollen. "I'm joining him, Marla. I'm going to be with him in death, just like I was in life."
Marla hesitated, unsure of what to do. But then, she saw the determination in Leticia's eyes and found herself feeling a sense of joy in the act. "Let me help you," she said, picking up the shovel.
Together, they dug up the grave, and Leticia opened the urn. She poured a drink for Marla and herself, saying, "This is a way of showing my love for him. He was always so youthful and pure, just like you, Marla."
Marla took a sip and nodded in agreement. "Yes, he was. And I can see why you found him so attractive."
Leticia smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "I do find youth very attractive. And I find you very attractive, Marla."
Marla raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? Is there something you want to tell me, Leticia?"
Leticia blushed but held Marla's gaze. "Yes, there is. I want you to envelop the ashes with your urine, just like I did. It's a way of honoring his memory."
Marla was taken aback but couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the request. She took a turn pouring her drink into the urn, feeling a connection to the boyfriend she had never felt in life.
When they finished, Leticia and Marla buried the urn, promising to visit the grave often. As they walked back to the house, Leticia turned back to the grave and whispered a final goodbye to her boyfriend.
Marla put her arm around Leticia, offering comfort and support. "Leticia, I'm here for you. Always."
Leticia smiled, feeling a sense of closure and peace. "Thank you, Marla. I'm glad I have you."
As they walked away, Leticia couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for her friend. In a twisted way, this act had brought them closer together, and Leticia knew that she would never forget this moment.
