Green-Eyed Serpent: The Morning After with Poseidon, or How to Politely Evict a God from Your Bed

Medusa woke up with a start, her heart pounding in her chest as she looked around her dimly lit chamber. She saw Poseidon, the god of the sea, lying next to her, still asleep and oblivious to the chaos he had caused. Medusa felt a wave of disgust and anger wash over her as she remembered the night before. She had been drunk and disoriented, and Poseidon had taken advantage of her.

She got up from her bed, trying to steady herself and avoid waking the snakes in her hair. She looked at Poseidon, who was lying there with a satisfied smile on his face. Medusa couldn't believe she had let her guard down and allowed him to sleep in her bed.

She walked over to him and shook him gently, trying to wake him up without startling him. "Good morning, my dear," he said, stretching out and smiling at her. Medusa's eyes narrowed, and she said, "What are you doing here, Poseidon? You need to leave."

Poseidon looked surprised and asked, "Do I have to leave so soon?" Medusa rolled her eyes and said, "Yes, you do. I have things to do, and I don't have time for your games."

Poseidon chuckled and said, "Well, you seemed to enjoy yourself last night. I can name three instances right now." Medusa's face turned red with anger, and she said, "Name them, and I'll turn you into stone."

Poseidon laughed and said, "You don't mean that. You were the one who initiated everything." Medusa's eyes flashed with anger, and she said, "I did not! You took advantage of me when I was drunk."

Poseidon shrugged and said, "You seemed to enjoy it. I'm sure you'll want more." Medusa's anger turned into disgust, and she said, "Get out of my chamber, Poseidon. I never want to see you again."

Poseidon sighed and got up, putting on his clothes. He walked over to Medusa and said, "You're making a mistake, my dear. You'll regret this." Medusa's eyes blazed with fury, and she said, "I won't regret it. Now, leave before I change my mind and turn you into stone."

Poseidon shook his head and walked out of Medusa's chamber, leaving her alone with her thoughts. Medusa fell back onto her bed, feeling violated and angry. She vowed to never let her guard down again, especially around gods.

The snakes in her hair hissed in agreement, and Medusa knew they would never forget this betrayal. She took a deep breath and tried to steady herself. She had work to do, and she couldn't let Poseidon's actions distract her.

Medusa got up from her bed and started her daily routine. She washed her face and brushed her hair, trying to ignore the hissing of the snakes. She put on a fresh robe and walked out of her chamber, ready to face the day.

As she walked through the temple, she could feel the eyes of the other inhabitants on her. They knew what had happened, and they were whispering about it behind her back. Medusa ignored them and continued on her way.

She arrived at her sanctuary, where she spent most of her days. She sat down on her throne and closed her eyes, trying to clear her mind. She could still feel the anger and disgust coursing through her veins, but she pushed it aside.

Medusa had a job to do, and she couldn't let her personal feelings get in the way. She was the protector of the temple, and it was her duty to keep it safe. She opened her eyes and looked around her sanctuary, ready to face whatever the day would bring.

The snakes in her hair hissed in agreement, and Medusa knew they were ready too. Together, they would face any challenge that came their way, and they would never let their guard down again.
