Cady groaned as she woke up, feeling like she had been hit by a truck. She stumbled out of bed and into the bathroom, her mind racing with questions. Why was she feeling so nauseous all of a sudden? And why did the thought of her favorite breakfast food make her stomach turn?
Hephaestus walked into the bathroom and found Cady looking pale and defeated. He rubbed her back sympathetically and asked, "Hey, you okay? You don't look so good."
Cady, ever the inventor and problem-solver, decided to take a pregnancy test. She handed it to Hephaestus, her heart pounding in her chest. "Here, you read it. I can't look."
Hephaestus looked at the test in shock and disbelief. "Cady...are you sure?"
Cady rolled her eyes and playfully insulted him, "Yes, Hephaestus, I'm sure. I may not be a god of fertility, but I do know how to read a pregnancy test."
Hephaestus sat down on the edge of the bathtub and put his head in his hands. Cady, feeling a mix of emotions, sat down next to him and rested her head on his shoulder.
They sat in silence for a few moments, processing the news. Cady finally broke the silence and asked, "Hephaestus, are you happy?"
Hephaestus, still in shock, nodded and wrapped his arms around Cady. "Of course, I am. I'm just...overwhelmed."
Cady and Hephaestus spent the rest of the day in a daze, trying to wrap their heads around the news. Cady, ever the inventor, started brainstorming ideas for a high-tech nursery.
Hephaestus, feeling overwhelmed, asked Cady, "Are you sure you're ready for this? I mean, twins?"
Cady, feeling confident and in control, playfully insulted Hephaestus for his lack of faith in her. "Yes, Hephaestus, I'm sure. I may not be a goddess of fertility, but I am a goddess of invention and problem-solving. I've got this."
Cady and Hephaestus spent the rest of the week in a happy, love-filled bubble. Cady, feeling the need to confirm the pregnancy, scheduled an ultrasound.

A week later, Cady and Hephaestus gathered their families to tell them the news. Cady, feeling confident and in control, took the lead and made the announcement.
Hephaestus's family was shocked and overjoyed by the news. Cady's family, ever supportive and loving, congratulated the couple and offered their help.
Cady and Hephaestus spent the rest of the evening basking in the love and support of their families. Cady, feeling exhausted but happy, fell asleep in Hephaestus's arms, already dreaming of her future as a mother of twins.
As they lay in bed, Cady turned to Hephaestus and said, "You know, this is going to be the greatest adventure of our lives. And I can't wait to experience it with you."
Hephaestus smiled and kissed Cady on the forehead. "I couldn't agree more, my love. I couldn't agree more."
