Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, paced in her chamber, her curly brown hair cascading down her shoulders as she fumed. The audacity of that mortal, Adonis, to claim he was a better hunter than she! It was preposterous, and she was seething.
The door to her chamber opened, and in walked Adonis, his handsome features smirking at her. He was unaware of the storm brewing within her, but she was quick to let him know.
"Go fuck yourself, Adonis," she said, her grey eyes flashing with anger as she threw a pillow at him. It hit him on the head, but he didn't seem to mind.
"For someone who hates me so much, you sure were wet down there," he said, unfazed by her outburst.
Artemis gasped, a mix of pleasure and disgust coursing through her. "Fuck you, Adonis," she retorted.
"Language, Artemis," he said, feigning innocence.
In the heat of the moment, Adonis finished, and they both went their separate ways. Artemis was filled with regret and anger. How could she have let that happen? She was the goddess of chastity, after all.
A full moon rose on December 16th, and Artemis gave birth to identical twin daughters, Zoë and Luna. Adonis, finding out about the pregnancy, was shocked and confused.
"This is all your fault, Adonis!" Artemis yelled, throwing a vase at him. It hit him on the shoulder, but he rubbed it, unbothered.
"I didn't mean for this to happen, Artemis," he said.
"Of course, you didn't. You never mean for anything to happen," she sneered.
Adonis looked at the sleeping newborns and said, "They're beautiful, Artemis."
Artemis softened, looking at her daughters. "Yes, they are."
The tension between Artemis and Adonis was palpable, but the love for their daughters was undeniable. The consequences of their hate sex had brought them together in a way they never expected. And as they looked at their daughters, they knew they had to put their differences aside for the sake of their children.
