The grand throne room of Mount Olympus was filled with the usual crowd of gods and goddesses, all clamoring for the attention of the king and queen. But tonight, all eyes were on Hera as she made her entrance, stumbling slightly as she walked towards her husband. A clear sign that she had been drinking, and indulging rather heavily, if the fruity scent of wine that wafted through the air was any indication.
Zeus, ever the observant one, raised an eyebrow as he saw his wife’s inebriated state. A small smirk played on his lips, as he watched Hera’s unsteady gait with amusement. It wasn’t often that his wife let loose and indulged in such a manner, but when she did, it was always a sight to behold.
Hera, noticing her husband’s amusement, playfully stuck her tongue out at him before collapsing into his arms with a giggle. “Well, well, well, someone’s had a little too much to drink,” Zeus said, his voice filled with humor.
Hera pouted, “I was just having a little fun with Dionysus, that’s all.”
Zeus chuckled, “I can see that. You smell like a wine cellar.”
Hera stuck her nose in the air, “I’ll have you know, I can hold my liquor better than any of those mortals down there.”
Zeus raised an eyebrow, “Oh really? Prove it.”
Hera grinned mischievously and reached up to kiss her husband, her hands tangling in his hair. Zeus deepened the kiss, his hands roaming over Hera’s body, igniting a fire within her that threatened to consume her.
Hera broke the kiss, her breath hitching as she felt her husband’s hands on her. “See, I told you,” Hera said, her voice breathy.
Zeus chuckled, “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
Hera raised an eyebrow, “Oh, you’ll see it alright.”
And with that, Hera took her husband’s hand and led him out of the throne room, a devious glint in her eye. Let the games begin, she thought to herself, as she pulled Zeus towards their chambers. It was going to be a long and pleasurable night, and Hera was more than ready to indulge in her husband’s embrace. After all, she was the queen of the gods, and she deserved a little fun every now and then.
