Hestia's Unexpected Flame: A Goddess's Surprise Delivery with a Side of Attitude

The Goddess in Labor

Chapter One

The inner chambers of Hestia, goddess of hearth, fire, and family, were a flurry of activity. Servants scurried to and fro, attempting to avoid the piercing gaze of their mistress as she paced the room, her face scrunched up in pain.

"Mistress Hestia, are you alright?" one of the female servants asked, her voice laced with concern.

Hestia shot her a withering glare before continuing her pacing. "Of course not, you fool. I'm in labor!"

The female servants exchanged knowing glances and whispered to each other, their faces filled with a mix of excitement and worry.

Athena, Hestia's best friend and a tall, muscular female warrior goddess, approached her with a playful smirk on her face. "Hestia, you're usually the one taking care of others in labor, not the one in labor yourself," she said, a twinkle in her eye.

Hestia glared at Athena, her face contorted in pain. "Shut up, Athena. This is no time for jokes."

Athena chuckled and patted Hestia on the back. "Alright, alright. I'll leave you to it. Just remember to breathe," she said, before exiting the room.

Hestia's screams and curses could be heard from outside her chambers, causing the other gods and goddesses to gather around her door, their faces filled with curiosity and concern.

After two hours, the door to Hestia's chambers finally opened, revealing a swaddled baby girl in Hestia's arms.

Zeus, the king of the gods, pushed his way to the front of the crowd, his face filled with a mix of shock and anger. "Hestia, what is the meaning of this? You broke your vow of chastity!" he boomed.

Hestia glared at Zeus, her eyes blazing with fire. "Yes, Zeus, I did. And it's none of your business. Now, be quiet and let me hold my daughter," she commanded.

Zeus, taken aback by Hestia's directness, fell silent. He looked at the baby girl with curiosity and asked Hestia questions about her child.

Hestia answered Zeus's questions honestly, her voice filled with love and pride for her daughter.

The other gods and goddesses, moved by Hestia's honesty and strength, slowly dispersed, leaving Hestia alone with her daughter and a few trusted female servants.

Hestia, exhausted but happy, looked down at her daughter and smiled. "Welcome to the world, my dear. You are loved and cherished," she said, her voice filled with warmth.

The female servants gathered around Hestia, offering their congratulations and support.

Hestia, surrounded by her loved ones, felt a sense of peace and contentment. She knew that she may face challenges as a single mother, but she was ready to face them with strength and determination.

"I will name her Briseis," Hestia announced, her voice filled with certainty.

Athena, who had returned to the room, raised an eyebrow. "A strong name for a strong goddess," she said, a hint of admiration in her voice.

Hestia nodded. "Yes, she will be strong and independent, just like her mother."

The female servants chuckled and nodded in agreement.

"And she will be loved and protected, just like her mother," Athena added.

Hestia smiled, her heart filled with gratitude for her friend's words.

"Now, let's get you and Briseis settled," Athena said, taking charge. "You both need rest."

Hestia nodded, allowing Athena to lead her to her bed.

As she drifted off to sleep, Hestia couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy. She was a goddess in labor, and she had brought forth a new life into the world. She was strong, controlling, and direct, and she would raise her daughter to be the same.

The end.
