Inked Obsession

Inked Obsession

Chapter 1: The Awakening

I woke to the scent of incense and the dull ache of my entire body, as if I’d been carved from stone and reassembled. My vision blurred, then sharpened, revealing the opulent room around me—silk drapes, lacquered wood, and a man sitting cross-legged on a tatami mat, watching me with the intensity of a predator. He was striking, all sharp angles and cold beauty, his dark eyes glinting like polished obsidian. A kimono hung loosely on his frame, revealing a chest adorned with intricate tattoos that mirrored the ones I could now feel burning into my own skin.

'Welcome back, Nancy,' he said, his voice a low, dangerous purr. 'You’ve been reborn as mine.'

I tried to sit up, but my limbs felt heavy, my skin tight and foreign. Glancing down, I saw it—ink, everywhere. A full Japanese bodysuit, curling along my jawline, over my ears, down my neck, and disappearing beneath the thin sheet covering me. My heart thundered as I realized the extent of it, the art snaking over every inch of me, from my arms to my legs, even between my thighs. Only my face, fingers, and toes remained untouched, a cruel mockery of freedom.

'What the hell did you do to me?' I snapped, my voice raw but laced with steel. I wasn’t about to cower, no matter how much power this man thought he wielded.

He smirked, rising with a fluid grace that made my stomach twist in a way I refused to acknowledge. 'I’ve marked you as my property, my soul’s claim. No other man will dare touch you now. You belong to me, and Japan is your cage.'

I laughed, sharp and biting, even as rage simmered beneath my skin. 'You think a little ink makes me yours? I’m not some trinket to be locked away. I’ll carve my own way out of this hell, tattoo or not.'

His eyes darkened, a flicker of something—respect, maybe, or desire—flashing through them as he stepped closer. 'Such fire,' he murmured, his breath warm against my cheek as he leaned in. 'I knew you’d be a challenge. That’s why I chose you.'

I glared up at him, my body betraying me with a shiver as his fingers ghosted along the inked line of my jaw. 'Touch me again without permission, and I’ll show you just how much of a challenge I can be,' I hissed, but my voice wavered, caught between fury and the undeniable heat pooling low in my core.

He chuckled, a sound that vibrated through me, and stepped back, his gaze raking over me like a physical caress. 'Oh, Nancy, I’ll have your permission soon enough. You’ll beg for it.'

My breath hitched, but I forced a smirk. 'Dream on. I don’t beg for anyone.'

His smile was wicked, promising things I wasn’t ready to face. 'We’ll see,' he said, turning to leave but pausing at the door. 'Rest now. Tonight, we begin.'

As the door slid shut, I lay back, my mind racing. My body was a canvas of his obsession, but I’d be damned if I let him paint my will. Yet, as I shifted under the sheet, feeling the ink shift with every move, a part of me—a dangerous, reckless part—wondered what it would be like to let him try. To feel his hands on my newly marked skin, to see if I could match his fire with my own. My pulse quickened, and I cursed myself for the heat building between my thighs, already wet with the thought of the battle ahead. Tonight, I’d be ready for him, and I’d make damn sure he knew I wasn’t just his to claim.
