Interstellar Heat: A Special Forces Seduction

Interstellar Heat: A Special Forces Seduction

Chapter 1: Ignition Point

The hum of the Allied Special Forces command ship, *Stellar Vanguard*, vibrated through the steel corridors as Col. Seth McBeal leaned against the briefing room wall, arms crossed, his piercing green eyes tracking Lt. Col. Thera Yasuko. She was a vision in her fitted combat uniform, the fabric hugging every curve of her athletic frame as she reviewed mission data on her holo-pad. Her raven-black hair was pulled into a tight bun, a few rebellious strands teasing the nape of her neck. Seth’s jaw tightened. They’d been playing this game for years—since the Academy, when their sparring matches left them both breathless for reasons beyond physical exertion. Now, at 24, he was done with the dance. Tonight, he’d make his move.

Thera glanced up, catching his stare. Her dark eyes narrowed, a smirk curling her full lips. 'Staring again, McBeal? Or are you just plotting how to lose our next sim-battle?'

Seth pushed off the wall, closing the distance between them with a predator’s grace. 'Oh, Yasuko, I’m plotting something, alright. But it’s not a battle. Not the kind you’re thinking of.' His voice dropped, a low growl that sent a shiver down her spine, though she’d never admit it.

She arched a brow, unfazed, stepping closer until their boots nearly touched. 'Is that so, Colonel? Care to enlighten me, or are you just full of hot air as usual?' Her tone was sharp, challenging, but her eyes flickered with something dangerous, something hungry.

He chuckled, the sound rough and teasing. 'Hot air? Babe, I’m a goddamn inferno, and you’ve been fanning the flames since we were cadets. I’m done pretending I don’t see the way you look at me when you think I’m not watching.'

Thera’s smirk widened, but her breath hitched—just for a split second. She tilted her chin up, meeting his gaze head-on. 'And how do I look at you, Seth? Like a superior officer who needs to get his head out of his ass? Or like a man who’s about to get his ego handed to him?' She leaned in, her voice a husky whisper. 'Because I don’t play games I can’t win.'

His grin was feral now, heat pooling in his gut as her scent—sweat and something uniquely Thera—hit him like a punch. 'Oh, you’ll win, alright. But not before I’ve got you begging for more.' He reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering just long enough to feel her pulse jump under her skin.

She didn’t flinch, didn’t pull away. Instead, she grabbed his wrist, her grip firm, her nails biting into his skin. 'Big talk, McBeal. You think you can handle me? I’m not some damsel waiting to be swept off her feet. If I want something, I take it.' Her eyes burned into his, a challenge wrapped in raw desire.

Seth’s blood roared in his ears, his body already responding to the fire in her words. 'Then take it, Thera. I’m right here.' He stepped closer, their bodies brushing, the heat between them electric. The briefing room felt suddenly too small, the air thick with unspoken need.

Her lips parted, a sharp inhale, and for a moment, the unbreakable Lt. Col. Thera Yasuko looked like she might just break—right into him. She released his wrist, her hand sliding up his arm, over the hard muscle of his bicep, until it rested on his chest. 'You’re playing a dangerous game, Seth. You sure you’re ready for the consequences?'

He leaned down, his mouth hovering just above hers, so close he could taste the promise of her. 'Consequences? Darlin’, I’ve been ready for you since the day we met. Question is, are you ready to stop running and let me show you what you’ve been missing?' His voice was a low rumble, dripping with intent.

Thera’s eyes darkened, her fingers curling into his shirt. 'Show me, then. But don’t think for a second I’m not in control.' She yanked him forward, closing the last inch between them, their lips crashing together in a kiss that was all heat and hunger, a collision of pent-up want. Their tongues battled, neither yielding, as her hands roamed his back, pulling him tighter against her.

Seth groaned into her mouth, his hands gripping her hips, feeling the strength and fire in her body. They stumbled back, her ass hitting the edge of the briefing table, and he pressed himself against her, already hard, the friction driving him wild. She gasped, breaking the kiss just long enough to mutter, 'Fuck, Seth, you weren’t kidding about that inferno.'

He grinned, panting, his hands sliding down to grip her thighs. 'Told you. Now, let’s see how wet you are for me, Lieutenant.' His words were a dare, a promise, as he moved to lift her onto the table, ready to ignite every inch of her with the passion they’d both been denying for far too long.
