Leçon Réticente de Maude

### Chapter One: Un Film et des Frissons

The summer evening draped Maude’s bedroom in a sultry haze, the air thick with the scent of lavender and the faint hum of a rickety old television set flickering in the corner. A forgotten rom-com danced across the screen, its canned laughter a stark contrast to the languid boredom etched on Maude’s face. She lounged on her bed, a vision of casual decadence in black lace lingerie—a bra that strained heroically against her ample chest and a thong that clung to her curves like a second skin. Her long legs stretched lazily across the rumpled sheets as she flipped through a glossy magazine, her dark eyes skimming over celebrity gossip with a sneer.

“Ugh, same old trash,” she muttered to herself, tossing the magazine aside with a flick of her wrist. She propped herself on one elbow, her gaze drifting to the flickering screen, unimpressed.

A timid knock at the door broke the monotony. Maude’s head snapped up, her full lips curling into a frown. “Who the hell’s bugging me now?” she called out, her voice dripping with impatience.

“Uh, it’s me, Nolan,” came a hesitant reply from the other side. “I was wondering… can I watch a movie with you? I brought a DVD.”

Maude rolled her eyes so hard it was practically audible, a dramatic sigh escaping her as she flopped back onto the pillows. “Allez, entre, petit génie,” she drawled, her tone laced with mock exasperation. “But no funny business, hein? I’m not in the mood for your nonsense tonight.”

The door creaked open, and Nolan shuffled in, clutching a battered DVD case like a lifeline. He was all awkward limbs and nervous energy, his cheeks already tinged pink as he avoided looking directly at Maude. He perched on the very edge of the bed, as far from her as possible without falling off, his eyes darting between the floor and the TV. But they kept betraying him, stealing quick, guilty glances at the expanse of her bare skin, the way her lingerie hugged every dangerous curve. He didn’t understand the heat pooling in his gut, but it was there, undeniable and maddening.

Maude caught one of those glances and smirked, though her eyes narrowed with suspicion. She didn’t say anything at first, just reached for the remote and hit play on the DVD—a lighthearted comedy that filled the room with slapstick gags and cheesy one-liners. Nolan, however, wasn’t laughing. His face was a deepening shade of crimson, his body rigid as he squirmed in place, hands pressed awkwardly over his lap in a futile attempt to hide the bulge straining against his shorts.

She noticed. Of course she did. Maude’s sharp gaze zeroed in on his discomfort, and she sat up slowly, crossing her arms beneath her chest in a way that only accentuated her curves further. Her lips twitched into a wry grin as she tilted her head. “Qu’est-ce qui t’arrive, toi?” she teased, her voice a low purr laced with amusement. “T’as avalé un ressort ou quoi? You’re twitching like a rabbit caught in a trap.”

Nolan’s mouth opened, then closed, his words tripping over themselves before they could even form. “I-I’m fine,” he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper, his eyes glued to the floor as if it might swallow him whole.

“Fine, my ass,” Maude shot back, her tone sharp but not unkind. She leaned forward slightly, her dark hair spilling over one shoulder as she studied him with the intensity of a predator sizing up prey. “You’re about as subtle as a brick through a window, gamin. What’s got you so worked up? Spill it.”

He shook his head, mortified, his hands clenching tighter over his knees. “I don’t… I don’t know,” he mumbled, barely audible. His gaze flicked downward, a vague gesture toward his lap, and he added in a pitiful whisper, “It just… does that. I don’t know why.”

Maude let out a long, theatrical sigh, dragging a hand down her face as if the weight of the world had just landed on her shoulders. “Bon sang, pourquoi moi?” she muttered under her breath, half to herself. “I’m not a damn babysitter for raging hormones. This is not in my job description.”

She fixed him with a look that was equal parts irritation and reluctant pity, her lips pursing as she considered her options. Finally, she spoke, her voice cutting through the awkward silence like a knife. “C’est à cause de moi, c’est ça?” she asked bluntly, one eyebrow arching. “What, you’ve never seen a woman half-naked before? Is that it? Am I your first glimpse of the forbidden fruit or something?”

Nolan nodded, his face practically glowing with embarrassment. “I… yeah. I guess. I’m sorry, Maude, I didn’t mean to—”

“Stop apologizing,” she snapped, cutting him off with a wave of her hand. Her expression softened just a fraction, though her tone remained firm. “Écoute, gamin, it’s normal, d’accord? Bodies do stupid things. Hormones are a bitch. But we’ve gotta deal with this, because I’m not spending the rest of my night with you playing flagpole over there. It’s distracting.”

He blinked at her, confusion written all over his face, his hands still glued to his lap. “Deal with it… how?” he asked, his voice small and uncertain.

Maude groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose as if praying for patience. “Bon, d’accord,” she muttered, more to herself than to him. “But let’s get one thing straight—this is just to help you out, hein? Not because I’m dying to play nurse. You got that, tête de pioche?”

Nolan nodded automatically, though the furrow in his brow suggested he wasn’t entirely sure what he was agreeing to. His heart was pounding so loud he was sure she could hear it, his palms sweaty as he fidgeted under her piercing stare.

Maude sighed again—her signature sound of the evening—and reclined back onto the pillows, her movements deliberate and unapologetic. She parted her legs just slightly, the black lace of her thong catching the dim light as she gestured for him to come closer. “Allez, viens,” she ordered, her voice a mix of resignation and authority. “But make it quick. And not a word of this to anyone, or I swear I’ll turn you into a doormat. Comprends-tu?”

Nolan hesitated, his breath hitching as he processed her words, the implication slowly sinking in. His eyes darted from her face to her body and back again, uncertainty warring with the raw, unfamiliar desire coursing through him. But under the weight of her commanding gaze, he inched forward, awkward and trembling, his heart a wild drumbeat in his chest.

Maude watched him approach, her expression a mask of begrudging resolve. She wasn’t thrilled about this, not by a long shot, but she’d be damned if she let some flustered kid ruin her night with his unresolved tension. “Don’t make me regret this, Nolan,” she warned, her voice low and dangerous, even as the air between them crackled with unspoken possibilities.
