Lust in the Limelight

Lust in the Limelight

Chapter 1: The Dare That Ignited

The humid air of Dhaka University buzzed with anticipation as Adhadhora Khan, the undisputed queen bee and fierce lesbian feminist, strutted across the campus courtyard. At 25, she was a force of nature—tall, commanding, with a sharp tongue that could cut through any argument. Her dark eyes scanned the crowd, her presence alone enough to make students step aside, parting like the Red Sea before her. Today, though, there was a challenge in the air, a dare from her best friend Nilima and Nilima’s smug boyfriend, Rafi.

“C’mon, Adhora, don’t tell me you’re scared of a little kiss,” Nilima teased, her voice dripping with mischief as she leaned against Rafi’s shoulder. “It’s just Shupto Islam. The sweetest, most harmless freshman on campus. Even you, the ultimate man-hater, can’t deny he’s a good guy.”

Adhora’s lips curled into a smirk, her gaze narrowing. “Scared? Darling, I eat dares for breakfast. But kissing a man? That’s not a challenge; it’s a downgrade.” She tossed her raven-black hair over her shoulder, her tone icy but playful. “Still, if it’ll shut you two up, I’ll do it. Where’s this little lamb of yours?”

Rafi pointed toward the edge of the courtyard, where Shupto stood, oblivious to the storm heading his way. At 18, he was the campus’s gentlest soul, a boy with soft brown eyes and a shy smile, five inches shorter than Adhora’s towering frame. He was fiddling with a notebook, completely unaware of the crowd’s growing whispers.

Adhora’s boots clicked against the pavement as she approached, her confidence a palpable force. The crowd hushed, tension crackling like electricity. Shupto looked up, startled, as her shadow fell over him. “Uh, hi?” he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Hi yourself, kid,” Adhora purred, her voice low and dangerous, a predator sizing up prey. She leaned down slightly, her face inches from his. “Heard you’re the sweetest thing around. I’m here to test that theory.”

Shupto blinked, confusion etching his features. “Test? I don’t—wait, what?”

“Shh,” she cut him off, a wicked glint in her eye. “Just a little kiss. Don’t make it weird.” Before he could protest, her lips crashed into his, firm and unapologetic. It was supposed to be quick—a peck to prove a point—but the second their mouths met, something shifted. His lips were soft, unexpectedly warm, and damn if they didn’t taste like forbidden fruit. Adhora’s control wavered, her hands instinctively gripping his shoulders as she deepened the kiss, hungry for more.

Shupto froze for a heartbeat before melting into her, a small, surprised moan escaping him. The crowd gasped, whispers turning into cheers, but Adhora didn’t care. She was lost in the heat of him, the way his breath hitched, the way her own pulse raced. Minutes stretched on—five, ten, twenty—and still, she couldn’t pull away, her tongue teasing his, demanding more.

“Adhora, what the hell?” Nilima’s voice finally broke through the haze, her tone half-laughing, half-shocked. She and Rafi pushed through the crowd, grabbing Adhora’s arms. “It’s been forty minutes! You’re gonna suffocate the poor guy!”

Adhora finally pulled back, her chest heaving, lips swollen and glistening. Shupto stared at her, wide-eyed, his face flushed, panting softly. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, trying to regain her composure, but her smirk betrayed her. “Well, damn, freshman. Didn’t expect you to pack that kind of heat.”

Shupto swallowed hard, his voice shaky. “I... I didn’t do anything.”

“Oh, you did plenty,” she shot back, her eyes raking over him, a fire igniting in her core. She turned to Nilima, her tone sharp but laced with something raw. “Happy now? Dare completed. But don’t think this is over.”

As she walked away, the crowd buzzing around her, Adhora felt a unfamiliar ache—a pull she couldn’t ignore. Shupto might’ve been the campus’s gentlest soul, but he’d just awakened something in her she didn’t know existed. And she was far from done with him.
