Masked Revelations: A Gender Bender Wedding Night

### Chapter 1: The Unexpected Encounter

The sun was setting over the bustling city, casting a golden hue over the streets as Ava hurried along the sidewalk. Her heels clicked with purpose, a sound that echoed her determination. She was late for a meeting, and nothing irked her more than being late. As she rounded the corner, she collided with a solid figure, her papers scattering across the pavement.

"Watch where you're going!" Ava snapped, her eyes flashing up to meet the amused gaze of a man who was decidedly too handsome for his own good.

"Sorry about that," he said, his voice smooth like velvet. He bent down to help her gather her papers, his fingers brushing against hers. "I'm Ethan, by the way."

Ava snatched her papers from his hands, her irritation mingling with an unexpected spark of attraction. "Ava," she replied curtly, straightening up and smoothing her skirt. "And you should really be more careful."

Ethan chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I'll keep that in mind. But tell me, Ava, what's got you in such a rush?"

"It's none of your business," she shot back, but her lips twitched into a reluctant smile. There was something about his confidence that intrigued her.

"Ah, but I'm making it my business," Ethan said, stepping closer. His proximity sent a shiver down her spine. "How about I make it up to you? Dinner, tonight?"

Ava raised an eyebrow, her gaze assessing him. "You think you can just knock me over and then charm your way into a date?"

"Absolutely," Ethan replied, his grin widening. "And I think you're intrigued enough to say yes."

She laughed, a sound that surprised even herself. "You're bold, I'll give you that. But I have a meeting to get to."

"Cancel it," Ethan suggested, his voice dropping to a seductive whisper. "Spend the evening with me instead."

Ava's heart raced at the suggestion, but she shook her head. "I don't cancel meetings for just anyone."

"But I'm not just anyone, am I?" Ethan countered, his eyes locked on hers.

There was a long moment of silence, the air charged with tension. Ava felt a pull towards him, a magnetic force she couldn't quite explain. "Fine," she said finally, her voice firm. "But you're buying."

"Deal," Ethan said, his smile triumphant. "Where should I pick you up?"

Ava scribbled her address on a piece of paper and handed it to him. "Be there at eight. And don't be late."

"Wouldn't dream of it," Ethan replied, his eyes lingering on her as she turned to leave.

As Ava walked away, she couldn't shake the feeling that this unexpected encounter was the beginning of something thrilling. She glanced back once, catching Ethan's gaze still fixed on her, and a thrill of anticipation coursed through her. Tonight was going to be interesting, and Ava was ready to take control of whatever came next.
