Chapter 1: Sparks Under Starlight
The New Year’s party pulsed with life, a chaotic symphony of laughter, clinking glasses, and thumping music that reverberated through the grand house. The air was thick with celebration, the fireplace casting a warm, flickering glow over the crowd. Amidst the revelry, Marina stood out like a diamond in coal—her sleek, luxurious fur coat hugged her curves with an elegance that demanded attention. Her sharp eyes scanned the room, a predator in a forest of prey, until they landed on Alexei. His sea-green gaze and effortless charm were a siren call she couldn’t ignore.
She sauntered over, a flute of champagne in hand, her stride confident and deliberate. 'So, Alexei,' she purred, her voice cutting through the din like a blade, 'are you always this brooding, or is it just the holiday spirit haunting you?'
He smirked, leaning against the wall, his eyes tracing the line of her coat down to her hips. 'Only when I’m waiting for someone worth breaking the silence for. Looks like I’m in luck tonight.'
Their banter flowed as easily as the champagne, sharp and biting, each quip a spark igniting something deeper. 'Careful,' Marina teased, stepping closer, her breath warm against the chill of the room, 'I bite harder than I bark.'
'Good,' Alexei shot back, his voice low, a challenge in his tone. 'I like a fight.'
The heat between them was palpable, the crowded room fading into a blur. With a shared glance, they slipped outside, the frosty night air a sharp contrast to the fire inside. Snow crunched underfoot, stars glittering like a promise above. Marina, emboldened by the magic of the moment, grabbed his hand with a wicked grin. 'Let’s see if you can keep up,' she taunted, scooping up a handful of snow and launching it at him.
Alexei laughed, dodging with ease before retaliating, their playful war turning the pristine snow into a battlefield of laughter and gasps. 'You’re ruthless!' he called out, catching her wrist mid-throw, pulling her close. Her chest heaved, her eyes alight with mischief and something hotter.
'Only when I want something,' she retorted, her voice husky, her gaze dropping to his lips. The world stilled, the cold forgotten as her hand brushed his cheek, a tremor of anticipation rippling through them both. 'This is the best damn New Year’s I’ve ever had,' she whispered, her words a confession and an invitation.
Their lips crashed together, a hungry, desperate kiss that tasted of champagne and winter. Her fingers tangled in his hair, his hands gripping her waist through the fur, pulling her against him. The heat of their bodies melted the frost around them, her heart pounding as she felt him, hard and insistent, pressing into her. 'God, Marina,' he growled against her mouth, 'you’re driving me insane.'
She smirked, her nails grazing his neck. 'Good. I want you sweating for me.' Her words were a dare, her body arching into his, the promise of more dripping from every touch. They stumbled back, her back hitting the rough bark of a tree, the fur of her coat catching on the wood as their kisses deepened, panting breaths mingling in the icy air. She could feel herself getting wet, the ache between her thighs growing with every grind of his hips, his cock straining against his jeans, begging for release.
The distant chime of midnight rang from the house, but they were lost in their own world, a storm of lust and need building to a crescendo. Marina’s hand slid down his chest, teasing lower, her voice a sultry whisper. 'Let’s see how horny we can get before the new year really starts.'
