The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow on Akane's small apartment. She stirred from her sleep, her body heavy with exhaustion. Her baby's cries pierced the early morning silence, pulling her from the depths of slumber.
Akane stumbled to the crib, her movements slow and groggy. She unbuttoned her shirt, her breasts heavy with milk. She leaned over the crib, guiding her nipple to her baby's tiny mouth. He latched on, his small body wriggling with satisfaction.
As Akane fed her baby, she noticed a shadow in the corner of her eye. She turned her head, her heart sinking as she saw her mom's new boyfriend standing in the doorway. He was a man in his 40s, with a creepy smile plastered on his face.
"Good morning, little one," he said, his voice sickly sweet.
Akane felt a wave of unease wash over her. She tried to shoo him away, but he didn't budge. Instead, he took a step closer, his eyes fixated on Akane's breastfeeding baby.
"What the hell are you doing here, pervert?" Akane snapped, her patience wearing thin.
The man tried to defend himself, but Akane was having none of it. She was tired, exhausted, and she had no tolerance for creeps.
"Help? By creepily watching me breastfeed? Get out of my sight," she said, her voice sharp and direct.
The man looked hurt, but Akane didn't care. She had been through too much, dealt with too many creeps in her life. She finished breastfeeding and put her baby back to sleep. She buttoned her shirt and made her way to the kitchen to make some coffee.
The man followed her, apologizing profusely. But Akane was not in the mood for apologies. She handed him his things and showed him the door.
"Good riddance," she thought, as she watched him leave. She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She could finally have some peace and quiet, and enjoy her morning coffee in peace.
