Chapter 1: Study Break Seduction
Livia hunched over her desk, the dim light of her lamp casting shadows across her scattered notes. Her brow furrowed in concentration, a soft sigh escaping her lips as she leaned into the familiar ache of late-night studying. The door creaked open behind her, but she didn’t notice until a pair of strong hands settled on her shoulders.
'Pete, you scared me! I didn’t hear you come in,' she exclaimed, her voice a mix of irritation and relief. Her body instinctively relaxed under his touch as he began kneading the tight knots in her neck and shoulders.
'I know you’re super focused and all, but you need rest too. It’s almost 1 AM,' Peter said, his voice low and commanding, the tone of an alpha who wasn’t used to being questioned. His fingers worked with precision, coaxing her tension away, his thumbs brushing just a little too close to the sensitive scent gland at the nape of her neck. A faint shiver ran through her, but she chalked it up to exhaustion.
Livia shrugged half-heartedly, her dark hair tickling his fingers. 'But I have that big test tomorrow… I need to study more.'
'Ah ah,' Peter tutted, applying more pressure to make his point, his hands sliding down her shoulders with a casual intimacy she’d grown accustomed to. 'I’m your big brother, and I say you’re done for tonight. Doctor’s orders.'
She couldn’t help but giggle, rolling her eyes even as warmth spread through her at his overprotectiveness. Peter was the most alpha overprotective big brother in the world—annoying at times, but mostly, it made her feel safe, cherished. Still, she wasn’t ready to give in. 'Not yet. I’m really worried about this test. I’m already awful at taking them, so I just want to get some more studying in.'
Peter’s hands didn’t stop, his touch growing bolder as he leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear. 'Come on, Liv. You’re smarter than you think. And I’m not just saying that because I’m your favorite brother.' His fingers grazed the edge of her scent gland again, a deliberate move that sent a subtle jolt through her. She barely noticed, used to these casual touches—after all, that’s just how alpha brothers were with their omega little sisters, right? Protective, tactile, always asserting their presence.
'Favorite? You’re my only brother, dummy,' she shot back, smirking as she flipped a page in her textbook, trying to ignore the way his hands were now sliding down her arms, his grip firm but teasing. 'And flattery won’t get me to bed any faster.'
'Oh, I’ve got more than flattery up my sleeve,' he teased, his voice dipping into a playful growl. He leaned down, nuzzling just behind her ear, his nose brushing against her scent gland with an alpha’s instinct to soothe—or to claim. The scent of her, sweet and uniquely hers, filled his senses, and he let out a low hum of approval. 'You smell like stress, Liv. Let me fix that.'
She laughed, swatting at him without looking up from her notes. 'Stop sniffing me, weirdo. I’m fine. Just let me finish this chapter.' But her voice lacked conviction, and she didn’t pull away when his hands moved to her lower back, massaging with a slow, deliberate rhythm that made her bite her lip.
'You’re not fine. You’re stubborn,' he countered, his tone sharp but laced with affection. His fingers dipped just under the hem of her shirt, brushing the bare skin of her waist. 'And I’m not leaving until you’re out of this chair. So, what’s it gonna take, huh? A full-on alpha command, or are you gonna be a good girl and listen to reason?'
Livia snorted, finally turning her head to glare at him, her eyes flashing with defiance. 'Good girl? Really, Pete? You’re gonna have to do better than that if you think I’m budging.' Her words were a challenge, and the air between them crackled with unspoken tension.
Peter grinned, his eyes darkening as he leaned in closer, his hands now firm on her hips, pulling her chair back just enough to make her gasp. 'Oh, I’ve got better, alright. Let’s see how long you can keep pretending to study when I’m this close.' His voice was a seductive purr, and as his lips hovered near her neck, the promise of something more hung heavy in the air, ready to ignite.
