Mother Knows Best: A Boy's Deliciously Devious Scheme to Satisfy His Boss and Save His Job

Chapter One: The Unconventional Proposition

Ravi's narrow living room felt even smaller as he paced back and forth, rehearsing his pitch to his boss in front of a mirror. His mother, Lakshmi, watched from the kitchen, a smirk playing on her lips as she listened to her son stumble over his words.

"Mr. Patel, I assure you, I am the best man for this job. I will not let you down," Ravi said, his voice wavering.

Lakshmi couldn't help but chuckle. "Ravi, you sound like a mouse. How do you expect to impress Mr. Patel with that pathetic attempt?"

Ravi stopped pacing and turned to his mother, his face flushed with embarrassment. "Mother, this is a serious matter. I need this job, and Mr. Patel holds all the power."

Lakshmi walked over to her son and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Ravi, my dear, you are too soft. You need to be more assertive, more confident."

Ravi sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I know, mother, but I don't know how."

Lakshmi's smirk turned into a full-blown smile. "Well, lucky for you, I do."

She explained her plan, her voice firm and confident. Ravi listened in disbelief, his eyes widening with every word.

"Mother, I can't ask you to do that," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Lakshmi placed a finger on Ravi's lips, silencing him. "You didn't ask, I offered. And I will not take no for an answer."

Ravi nodded, his gratitude clear in his eyes. "Thank you, mother. I will do anything for you in return."

Lakshmi's smile turned mischievous. "Good. Then arrange a meeting with Mr. Patel. I will take care of the rest."

Ravi hesitated, his blush deepening. "M-meeting? With Mr. Patel?"

Lakshmi chuckled. "Yes, Ravi. A meeting. With your boss. Don't tell me you're afraid?"

Ravi gulped, his nerves getting the best of him. "N-no, of course not."

Lakshmi patted her son on the back. "That's the spirit. Now, go prepare for the meeting. I will need you to be at your best."

Ravi nodded and hurried to his room, his mother's laughter echoing in his ears.

Lakshmi took her time getting ready, choosing the perfect outfit to impress Mr. Patel. She wanted to make sure Ravi's job was secure, and she was willing to do whatever it took.

She walked into the meeting with confidence, her head held high. Mr. Patel looked surprised but impressed, his eyes taking in Lakshmi's curves and the way she carried herself.

Lakshmi wasted no time, launching into her proposition with sharp wit and charm. Mr. Patel listened, his surprise turning into intrigue.

By the end of the meeting, Mr. Patel agreed to Ravi's terms, his eyes never leaving Lakshmi's face.

Lakshmi walked out of the meeting, a satisfied smile on her lips. She knew she had succeeded, and Ravi's job was secure.

Ravi waited for his mother at home, his nerves on edge. When Lakshmi walked in, he could tell by the look on her face that she had succeeded.

He hugged her tightly, his gratitude overflowing. "Thank you, mother. I don't know what I would do without you."

Lakshmi smiled, her heart swelling with pride. "You don't have to find out, my dear. I will always be here to help you."
