Mutant Bonds: Unleashing Hidden Desires

**Chapter One: Memory Wipe and Mutant Reunion**

The laboratory was a fortress of cold precision, buried deep within the secret compound of the Friends of Humanity. Steel walls gleamed under the harsh fluorescent lights, their sterile sheen reflecting the flickering monitors that lined the room, each screen displaying streams of data on mutant experiments. The air buzzed with the low hum of machinery, a relentless reminder of captivity, while the faint scent of antiseptic stung the nostrils. In the center of this clinical prison, a reinforced glass chamber held three figures, trapped like specimens under a microscope.

Ben Willis, an 18-year-old mutant with a healing factor and cybernetic enhancements gleaming along his left arm, paced the confined space. His dark hair was tousled, his piercing green eyes clouded with confusion. The memories in his head felt like a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing—or worse, replaced with fakes. He couldn’t shake the fog that clung to his mind, nor the strange sense of loyalty to a cause he barely understood.

Across from him, two women sat with an air of unshakable confidence, despite their predicament. Emma Frost, the White Queen, lounged against the glass wall, her platinum blonde hair cascading over her shoulder, her icy blue eyes sharp enough to cut through steel. Even in a psi-dampened room that muted her telepathic powers, her presence was commanding, her posture regal. Beside her, Rogue leaned forward, her auburn hair streaked with white, her gloved hands resting on her knees. Her emerald eyes glinted with a mix of mischief and danger, her Southern drawl ready to slice through any nonsense.

“Darlin’, if you keep pacin’ like that, you’re gonna wear a hole in the floor,” Rogue drawled, her lips curling into a smirk as she watched Ben. “Why don’t ya sit down and talk to us? We ain’t bitin’… yet.”

Ben stopped mid-step, his cybernetic arm whirring softly as he turned to face her. “I’m not here to chat. I’m supposed to… oversee you. Make sure you’re cooperating.”

Emma raised a perfectly arched brow, her voice dripping with sardonic amusement. “Oversee us? Oh, darling, that’s adorable. Do tell, what exactly makes you think you’re in charge here? Is it the shiny arm or the confused puppy look in your eyes?”

Ben’s jaw tightened, a flush creeping up his neck. “I’m not a puppy. I’m—Carl said I’m important to the Friends of Humanity. That you’re here to help with my… my second mutation. Whatever that is.”

Rogue let out a sharp laugh, her gloved hand slapping her thigh. “Oh, sugar, you’ve been fed a heap of hogwash. Carl Denti’s got you wrapped around his little finger, don’t he? We’re your family, Ben. Your mamas, if you’d bother to remember.”

The word ‘mamas’ hit Ben like a punch to the gut. A flicker of something—warmth, familiarity—flashed through the fog in his mind, but it vanished just as quickly. He shook his head, his voice gruff. “That’s not true. Carl said you’d lie to me. Manipulate me.”

Emma’s gaze hardened, though her tone remained smooth as silk. “Manipulate you? Sweetheart, if I had my full powers in this wretched cage, I’d be inside that pretty little head of yours right now, unraveling every lie Carl’s planted. But even without my telepathy, I can see the truth. He’s wiped your memories, Ben. Stolen who you are. And I’ll be damned if I let him keep you.”

Before Ben could respond, the chamber’s door slid open with a hiss, revealing Carl Denti himself. The leader of the Friends of Humanity was a wiry man in his forties, his graying hair slicked back, his eyes glinting with a predator’s cunning. He wore a tailored suit that seemed out of place in the sterile lab, a smirk playing on his lips as he stepped inside.

“Well, well, looks like the family reunion is in full swing,” Carl said, his voice smooth but laced with mockery. “Ben, I trust you’re keeping these two in line?”

Emma was on her feet in an instant, her presence towering despite the psi-dampeners sapping her strength. “You vile little man,” she spat, her voice a low growl. “What have you done to him? I can feel the scars in his mind, even through this suppression. You’ve butchered his memories, haven’t you? Turned him against his own flesh and blood!”

Carl’s smirk didn’t falter. “Oh, Emma, always so dramatic. I’ve simply… realigned his priorities. Ben belongs with us now. The Friends of Humanity are his true family. And you two? You’re here to guide him through his next evolution. Isn’t that right, Ben?”

Ben nodded hesitantly, though doubt flickered in his eyes. “Yeah. That’s… that’s what you said.”

Rogue’s glare could’ve melted steel. “You’re a snake, Denti. And when I get outta here, I’m gonna show you just how much I hate snakes.”

Carl chuckled, unfazed. “Save your energy, Rogue. You’ll need it. Ben, tomorrow you’ve got a mission. A chance to prove yourself to the cause. I’ll brief you later.” He gave a sly wink before turning to leave. “Play nice with your ‘helpers,’ won’t you?”

As the door slid shut behind him, an awkward silence settled over the chamber. Ben crossed his arms, trying to assert some semblance of authority. “Alright, let’s get one thing straight. I’m in charge here. You answer to me. Got it?”

Emma exchanged a glance with Rogue, both women barely containing their amusement. Emma tilted her head, her lips curling into a wicked smile. “Oh, darling, you’re precious. Do you really think you can order us around? I’ve toppled empires with a single thought. You’re not even a blip on my radar.”

Rogue leaned back, crossing her legs with a teasing grin. “Yeah, sugar, you’re cute when you’re tryin’ to play boss. But let’s be real—between the three of us, who’s got the most power in this room? Hint: it ain’t you.”

Ben’s face burned, his attempt at dominance crumbling under their sharp tongues. “Fine. Whatever. Let’s just… talk about this second mutation thing. What’s supposed to happen to me?”

Emma’s expression softened slightly, though her tone remained biting. “If Carl’s telling even a sliver of truth, it means your body’s evolving again. New powers, new strengths. Or, knowing him, new ways to control you. Tell me, Ben, have you noticed anything… unusual lately?”

Ben shifted uncomfortably, his cybernetic arm twitching as if on cue. “I… uh, yeah. My healing factor’s been faster. And sometimes, I feel this… heat. Like energy building up under my skin. Makes me feel… weird.”

Rogue’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Weird how, darlin’? Don’t be shy now. We’re all friends here… or family, dependin’ on how you wanna look at it.”

Ben hesitated, then, with a sigh, rolled up his sleeve, revealing not just the cybernetic enhancements but also a faint glow pulsing beneath his skin, veins of light tracing along his forearm. “This. It started a few days ago. Keeps getting brighter.”

Emma leaned forward, her gaze analytical but laced with something more—curiosity, perhaps, or intrigue. “Fascinating. A secondary mutation manifesting as raw energy. You’re quite the specimen, Ben. I’d love to explore that… in depth.”

Her words hung in the air, heavy with implication. Ben’s ears turned red, and he quickly pulled his sleeve back down. “Uh, thanks? I think?”

Rogue burst into laughter, her voice rich and warm. “Oh, sugar, she’s gonna eat you alive if you keep blushin’ like that. Ain’t he just the cutest, Emma? All tough on the outside, but soft as a peach underneath.”

Emma smirked, her eyes glinting. “Indeed. Though I suspect there’s more to him than meets the eye. Isn’t that right, Ben? Care to show us what else you’re hiding?”

Ben groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Can you two stop? I’m not—ugh, never mind. Look, it’s late. I don’t even know where we’re supposed to sleep in this place.”

Rogue glanced around the barren chamber, her smirk fading into a mock pout. “Well, ain’t no beds, that’s for sure. Guess we’re roughin’ it on the floor. Unless you’ve got a better idea, ‘master.’”

Ben swallowed hard, his voice dropping to a nervous mumble. “I mean… we could, uh, stick close. For warmth. Or… safety. You know, just in case.”

Emma’s brow arched again, her smile positively predatory. “Are you asking to cuddle with us, darling? My, my, how bold. I didn’t think you had it in you.”

Rogue snickered, scooting closer to Emma as she patted the space beside her. “Come on, sugar. We don’t bite… hard. But if you snore, I’m kickin’ you to the other side of this glass box, got it?”

Ben hesitated, his heart pounding as he lowered himself to the floor beside them, the cold surface a stark contrast to the heat radiating from his own body. “Thanks. I guess. And I don’t snore.”

Emma chuckled softly, her voice a velvet whisper as she leaned back, her shoulder brushing against his. “We’ll see about that, darling. Now, rest up. Tomorrow, we start unraveling Carl’s lies… and maybe a few other things.”

As the hum of the laboratory faded into the background, the three of them settled into an uneasy but oddly comforting closeness. Beneath the threat of the Friends of Humanity, a spark of connection flickered—teasing, sharp, and dangerously intimate.
