Nurse's Hands: A Tale of Injury, Frustration, and Empowerment

Chapter One: Awake in Agony

Jack slowly opened his eyes, groaning as a wave of pain washed over him. His wrists were encased in heavy casts, the weight of them pulling on his arms and making every movement agonizing. He tried to adjust himself in the hospital bed, but even the slightest shift sent shards of pain shooting up his arms.

Just as he was about to give up and succumb to the throbbing ache, the door to his room creaked open and a figure stepped in.

"Good morning, Mr. Thompson," the nurse greeted him, her voice warm and soothing. "I'm Susan, your nurse for today. How are you feeling?"

Jack gritted his teeth, trying to hide the wince that threatened to take over his face. "I've felt better," he admitted, his voice strained.

Susan approached his bedside, her eyes filled with concern. "Let me help you get more comfortable," she offered, her tone gentle but firm.

Jack hesitated, feeling vulnerable and exposed under her gaze. But the pain was too much to bear, and he finally nodded his agreement.

Susan moved with practiced ease, gently washing Jack's face and hands with a warm cloth. She took her time, making sure to clean every inch of his skin thoroughly.

"You're certainly taking your time," Jack commented, trying to make light of the situation.

Susan looked up at him, a playful glint in her eye. "I'm not rushing just for your enjoyment," she replied, a smirk playing on her lips.

Jack couldn't help but chuckle at her witty comeback. He tried to make small talk, asking about her day and the hospital, but Susan shut him down with a simple, "I'm here to take care of you, not chat."

Her bluntness only served to make Jack more intrigued. He couldn't help but notice how tender and thorough she was being, her touch gentle but firm. It was a strange contrast to her sharp tongue and no-nonsense attitude.

As Susan moved on to combing his hair, Jack couldn't help but feel a stirring of something more than just gratitude. He tried to shake off the feeling, telling himself he was just grateful for her help. But as she finished up and told him she'd be back later, Jack was left alone in his room, feeling both grateful and frustrated.

He tried to shift his position, but the pain was still unbearable. With a sigh, he fell back asleep, dreaming of Susan's touch and the strange mix of agony and pleasure it brought him.
