Persphone's Underworld Afterparty: When Hades Met Ella Jackson, the Tough-as-Nails Teen with a Concrete Heart

Chapter One: A Feast Unfit for Gods

The Grand Feasting Hall of the Gods was alive with decadence and debauchery as Persephone, the goddess of spring and death, reclined on a gilded chair. Her light brown hair cascaded down her shoulders, green eyes scanning the room, taking in the gods and goddesses indulging in ambrosia and nectar, laughter and music filling the air. The feast was in full swing, and Persephone couldn't help but feel a sense of detachment from it all.

Suddenly, a servant rushed in, her eyes wide with terror. She held a soul, a young woman's, in her hands. It was unlike any soul Persephone had seen before - it was still shaped like the body it once inhabited, a gruesome sight of a brutal rape and murder.

Persephone's heart clenched as she took in the sight. She recognized the soul - it was Ella Jackson, an 18-year-old girl who had just begun to live. The gods and goddesses fell silent, shocked at the sight.

Hades, the god of the underworld, appeared beside Persephone. His dark eyes took in the soul, and he nodded to the servant. "Show us," he commanded.

The servant led them to a secluded corner. The soul of Ella Jackson lay on the floor, her body still bearing the marks of her violent end. Persephone's heart ached as she saw the spine protruding from the girl's back, the internal damage so severe that her uterus was invisible.

"Who could do such a thing?" Hades' voice was low, filled with rage. Persephone looked up, her eyes meeting his. She knew who - a mortal so filled with hatred and cruelty that they would do this to an innocent girl.

Persephone turned her attention back to Ella. She reached out, her fingers brushing against the soul. It was cold, so cold. She looked at Hades, her eyes pleading. "We need to find who did this," she said, her voice filled with determination.

Hades nodded, his jaw clenched. "We will," he promised. He turned to the gods and goddesses. "Spread the word," he commanded. "We seek the mortal who did this. They will pay for their crimes."

The feast erupted into chaos as the gods and goddesses rose, ready to fulfill Hades' command. Persephone remained where she was, her eyes on Ella's soul. She would find who did this. She would make them pay.

Persephone rose, her decision made. She turned to Hades. "I will help you," she said. "We will find who did this together."

Hades nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "I would expect no less from the goddess of spring and death," he said. Together, they left the feasting hall, ready to bring justice to Ella Jackson.

As they walked, Persephone couldn't help but feel a sense of determination. She would not let Ella's soul rest until the mortal who did this was brought to justice.

Persephone turned to Hades. "We will need to question the other gods and goddesses," she said. "Someone must have seen something."

Hades nodded, his eyes thoughtful. "We will start with Ares," he said. "He has a temper, and this could have been done out of anger."

Persephone nodded, her mind already racing with questions. They would find who did this. They would make them pay.

As they approached Ares, Persephone could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She had never been one to back down from a challenge, and she was determined to get to the bottom of this heinous crime.

"Ares," Hades began, his voice filled with authority. "We need your help."

Ares turned to them, his eyes narrowing. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice filled with suspicion.

Persephone stepped forward, her eyes meeting Ares'. "We are searching for the mortal who committed a terrible crime," she said. "A young woman's soul has been brought to us, and we need to find who did this."

Ares' eyes widened, and he looked at the soul in Hades' hands. "What happened?" he asked, his voice filled with shock.

Persephone took a deep breath. "She was brutally raped and murdered," she said, her voice filled with anger. "We need to find who did this, Ares. We need your help."

Ares nodded, his eyes thoughtful. "I will help in any way I can," he said. "But I didn't see anything."

Persephone nodded, her mind already racing with other questions. They would find who did this. They would make them pay.

And so, Persephone and Hades continued their search, questioning the other gods and goddesses, determined to find the mortal who committed this heinous crime. They would not rest until justice was served.
