Power Girl's Goblin Double Trouble

### Chapter One: Innocence in Peril

The enchanted forest was a labyrinth of whispers and shadows, its ancient trees clawing at the sky with gnarled fingers. Deep within its heart, a cavern yawned open like a predator’s maw, its walls slick with moss and glowing with eerie bioluminescent fungi. The air was heavy, damp with the scent of earth and decay, and jagged rocks jutted out like teeth waiting to snap shut. It was here, in this forsaken hollow, that Power Girl stumbled, her breath ragged, her iconic white costume torn at the shoulder and thigh, revealing bruises blooming like dark flowers on her skin.

She was a vision of strength even in disarray—tall, muscular, with golden hair spilling over her shoulders in wild tangles. Her piercing blue eyes scanned the cavern, alert despite the ache in her bones. The battle with the shadow beast had been brutal, a clash of raw power that had left her reeling and forced her to seek shelter in this godforsaken hole. She pressed a hand against the cool wall, steadying herself, her chest rising and falling as she fought to regain control.

“Damn it,” she muttered, her voice echoing softly in the cavern. “I’ve taken down warlords and demons. A little beast shouldn’t have me running for cover.”

Unbeknownst to her, she wasn’t alone. From the shadows, two pairs of glinting eyes watched her every move, their owners crouched low among the rocks. Grunk and Snik, goblins of ill repute, licked their cracked lips, their wiry frames trembling with barely contained excitement. Grunk, the taller of the two, had a crooked grin that split his face like a jagged scar, while Snik, shorter and squatter, had a leer that could curdle milk. They’d been tracking her for hours, drawn by the scent of power and the promise of something far more tantalizing.

“Oi, Grunk, look at ‘er,” Snik whispered, his voice a low rasp. “All battered and bruised, but still lookin’ like a feast. Them legs could crush a man’s skull—and I’d thank ‘er for it.”

Grunk chuckled, a sound like gravel crunching underfoot. “Aye, Snik. She’s a right proper prize. Bet she don’t even know what she’s got, struttin’ around in that tight getup. Let’s have some fun before we get to the real playin’.”

Power Girl’s head snapped up, her senses prickling. “Who’s there?” she barked, her voice cutting through the stillness like a blade. She straightened, her bruised body tensing, ready for another fight. “Show yourself, or I’ll tear this cave apart to find you!”

The goblins emerged from the shadows, their movements jerky and deliberate, like spiders skittering across a web. Grunk stepped forward first, his hands spread in mock surrender, while Snik hung back, his eyes roving over her with unabashed hunger.

“Well, well, what ‘ave we got ‘ere?” Grunk drawled, his voice dripping with sleaze. “A lost little bird, all ruffled and nowhere to fly. Ain’t you a sight, darlin’?”

Power Girl’s jaw tightened, her fists clenching at her sides. “I’m no one’s ‘darlin’,’ creep. Back off before I turn you into paste.”

Snik cackled, hopping from one foot to the other. “Ooh, she’s got fire! I like that. Bet you’re all strength and no sweetness, eh? Ever had a real man—or goblin—show you a good time, love?”

Her brow furrowed, confusion flickering across her face. “What… what are you even talking about? I don’t have time for your nonsense. Move, or I’ll move you.”

Grunk took a daring step closer, his grin widening. “Oh, come now, lass. Don’t tell me you don’t feel it. All that power in you, pent up, nowhere to go. We’re just offerin’ to… help you release it.” His eyes flicked down to her torn costume, lingering on the exposed skin of her thigh. “Bet no one’s ever touched you proper, have they? All pure and untouched, like a shiny new toy.”

Power Girl’s cheeks flushed, a strange heat creeping up her neck. She’d faced down armies, shattered mountains with her fists, but this—this crude, suggestive taunting—was uncharted territory. Her mind raced, grappling with the unfamiliar sensation stirring in her core. “I… I don’t know what game you’re playing, but I’m not some damsel to toy with. Keep your filthy mouths shut and get out of my way.”

Snik sidled closer, circling her like a vulture. “Aw, don’t be like that, sweet thing. We’re just admirin’ the view. Ain’t often we get a goddess stumblin’ into our humble abode. Why don’t you relax a bit? Let us show you what you’ve been missin’.”

Her eyes narrowed, but her voice wavered just a fraction. “I’ve missed nothing. I’m Power Girl. I don’t need… whatever it is you’re implying. Back. Off.”

Grunk laughed, a low, guttural sound that sent a shiver down her spine. “Oh, you’ll see soon enough, lass. That little tremble in your voice? That’s the start of it. You’re feelin’ somethin’, ain’t ya? Somethin’ hot and wild, clawin’ to get out. We’re gonna help you with that, whether you like it or not.”

The air grew thicker, charged with a primal energy that made her skin prickle. Power Girl took a step back, her usual unshakable confidence cracking under the weight of their leering gazes and suggestive words. She was a warrior, a protector, but this was a battlefield she didn’t understand. Her heart pounded, not just from exhaustion but from something deeper, something she couldn’t name—a heat that curled in her belly, unsettling and foreign.

“You’re disgusting,” she snapped, though her voice lacked its usual steel. “I’m warning you one last time. Leave, or I’ll—”

Before she could finish, Grunk and Snik moved with surprising speed, lunging toward her from opposite sides. Their wiry hands reached out, claws glinting in the fungal glow, their grins promising chaos. Power Girl’s instincts kicked in, her body bracing for impact, but the strange, unfamiliar heat within her lingered, clouding her focus. She was a titan among mortals, a force of nature—but in this shadowy cavern, surrounded by crude taunts and hungry eyes, she felt the first stirrings of something she couldn’t control.

The game had only just begun.
