Primal Heat

Primal Heat

**Chapter 1: Simmering in the Shed**

The summer had turned my little apartment into a sweltering cage, the kind of heat that clings to your skin and makes every breath feel like a gulp of fire. The A/C had sputtered its last pathetic wheeze that morning, leaving me and Koko, my unexpected companion, to fend for ourselves. Koko, a young gorilla I’d brought home from the zoo under questionable circumstances, had become my solace in a world that felt too empty. She was more than a pet; she was a raw, untamed presence that mirrored something wild in me.

I watched her now, sprawled on the floor, her dark fur matted with sweat, her heavy breaths echoing my own frustration. 'Damn it, Koko, we’re gonna melt into puddles if we don’t do something,' I muttered, wiping my brow. Her deep brown eyes flicked to mine, intelligent and almost mocking, as if she were saying, *You’re the human, figure it out.*

'Fine, smartass,' I shot back, a smirk tugging at my lips. 'Bath shed it is. Let’s cool off before we combust.' I scooped her up, her weight a solid, grounding force against my chest, and trudged out to the rickety shed in the backyard. The tub inside was old, chipped, but it’d do. I set Koko down and turned on the faucet, the water gushing out cold and inviting. 'You first, princess,' I teased, nudging her toward the tub. She grunted, a low, playful sound, and splashed a paw in, testing it before climbing in with a satisfied huff.

I stood there, my tank top sticking to my skin, jeans feeling like a second layer of hell. 'Screw it,' I said, peeling off my clothes with a reckless abandon I hadn’t felt in months. 'If you get to cool off, so do I.' Naked now, I stepped into the tub, the water a sharp, delicious shock against my heated skin. Koko tilted her head, her gaze curious, almost challenging. 'What, never seen a woman take charge of her own damn comfort?' I quipped, sinking down beside her, the water lapping at my waist.

She splashed me then, a deliberate flick of her massive hand, and I laughed, splashing back. 'Oh, you wanna play, huh? I’m not some delicate flower, Koko. I fight dirty.' The tension of the day, the loneliness, the heat—it all morphed into something else, something electric. The way her muscles rippled under her fur, the raw power in her every move, it stirred something primal in me. I leaned closer, my voice dropping to a husky whisper. 'You know, I’ve been alone too long. Maybe I need something… wilder to shake me up.'

Her eyes locked on mine, and for a moment, the world narrowed to just us—two creatures of instinct, caught in a dance of heat and need. My hand reached out, brushing against her fur, feeling the strength beneath. My breath hitched, my body responding in ways I hadn’t anticipated, a slow burn igniting between my thighs. 'You feel this too, don’t you?' I murmured, my voice thick with unspoken desire. 'This isn’t just about the heat outside.'

The water seemed to grow warmer, or maybe that was just me, my skin flushing as I edged closer, the space between us crackling with unspoken promises. I could feel my pulse racing, my body aching for something raw, something untamed. And as Koko’s low growl vibrated through the air, I knew we were on the brink of something explosive, something that would shatter every boundary I’d ever known.
