Elsie lounged on her couch, her phone buzzing with unanswered calls from JJ. She sighed, running a hand through her hair. It had been a long night, and she wasn't in the mood for his apologies.
The front door swung open, and Rafe stepped inside, uninvited. "Elsie, are you okay?" he asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
She snapped her head towards him, her eyes narrowing. "What are you doing here, Rafe?" she demanded, her voice sharp.
He took a step closer, his hands held up in a placating gesture. "I just wanted to check on you. After what happened at the party..."
Elsie cut him off, her anger rising. "You mean after you punched JJ?" she accused, her voice dripping with venom.
Rafe's shoulders tensed, and he nodded. "Yeah, I did. I can't stand seeing him hurt you like that."
Elsie scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "You don't get to decide who hurts me and who doesn't," she spat. "Stay out of my life, Rafe."
He took another step closer, his eyes blazing. "I can't do that, Elsie. I care about you too much. You're the only one who's ever made me feel this way."
She rolled her eyes, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, please. You're just obsessed with me."
Rafe's face softened, and he took a deep breath. "No, Elsie. It's more than that. I've never felt this way about anyone else. No one compares to you."
Elsie was taken aback, her anger dissipating as she looked into Rafe's earnest eyes. She shook her head, pushing him away. "I can't do this, Rafe. I don't feel the same way."
He didn't back down, stepping closer and cupping her face in his hands. "Then let me prove it to you," he whispered, his voice low and rough.
Before she could protest, his lips were on hers, his kiss fierce and demanding. She responded instinctively, her body betraying her as she kissed him back just as fiercely.
They stumbled towards the living room, their clothes coming off as they continued to kiss and touch each other. Rafe demanded that Elsie look at him, but she refused, stubbornly turning her head away.
He took control, thrusting into her as he tried to make her look at him. She moaned, unable to hide her pleasure despite her best efforts. Rafe continued to thrust, his voice low and rough as he told Elsie that she couldn't fool him.
The tension between them built, their emotions and desires colliding as they reached their climax. Rafe collapsed on top of her, his breathing heavy as he wrapped his arms around her.
Elsie lay there, her body still humming with pleasure. She couldn't deny the chemistry between them, but she wasn't ready to admit her feelings. She turned her head away, stubbornly refusing to look at Rafe.
He sighed, resting his head on her shoulder. "I'll wait, Elsie. I'll wait as long as it takes."
She didn't respond, closing her eyes and letting herself drift off to sleep. She didn't know what the future held, but she knew one thing for sure - Rafe wasn't going anywhere.
