Railway Romance: How Nahida Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Her Conqueror

Chapter One: A Fateful Encounter

The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows over the bustling streets of Mondstadt. The air was filled with the sounds of merchants hawking their wares, children laughing, and the distant tolling of the city’s clock tower. Amidst the throng of people, one figure stood out from the rest.

Nahida, the Dendro Archon, was taking a rare break from her duties, strolling through the city and enjoying the sights and sounds. She was a striking figure, with long, flowing hair the color of autumn leaves and eyes that seemed to hold the wisdom of the ages. Her grace and beauty turned heads wherever she went, but today she was unconcerned with the admiring glances of those around her.

As she walked, Nahida suddenly found herself colliding with another figure. She stumbled back, a look of annoyance flashing across her face. “Watch where you’re going,” she snapped.

The man she had collided with was tall, with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. He wore the uniform of a Honkai Star Rail conductor, and he offered Nahida a charming smile. “My apologies, my lady. I should have been more careful.”

Nahida raised an eyebrow. “You’re not from around here, are you?”

The man shook his head. “No, I’m from the Honkai Star Rail. I’m just visiting Teyvat for a few days.”

Nahida’s interest was piqued. “A conductor, you say? I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of traveling through the stars.”

The man grinned. “Then perhaps you’d like to spar with me? I could show you some of the techniques I’ve learned on my travels.”

Nahida’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “You’re a bold one, aren’t you? Very well, I accept your challenge.”

The sparring match began, and it quickly became clear that Nahida was a formidable opponent. She moved with grace and precision, her attacks swift and deadly. The man, who introduced himself as Faenlon, was impressed.

“You’re quite skilled,” he admitted.

Nahida smiled. “I’ve had a lot of practice. But I must admit, I’m enjoying this. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a worthy opponent.”

As they sparred, Faenlon accidentally touched Nahida’s hand. Both of them felt a spark of electricity, and Nahida pulled away with a startled gasp.

Faenlon looked at her, his eyes filled with concern. “Are you alright?”

Nahida nodded, trying to brush off the incident. “Yes, I’m fine. It was just a shock, that’s all.”

Faenlon, however, couldn’t help but feel drawn to Nahida. He continued to flirt with her, teasing her with sharp wit and charming banter. Nahida, amused by Faenlon’s persistence, found herself enjoying his company.

“You’re quite the charmer, aren’t you?” she said, a smile playing at the corners of her lips.

Faenlon grinned. “I do my best. And I must say, I’m quite taken with you, my lady. Would you do me the honor of having dinner with me tonight?”

Nahida hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Very well. I accept your invitation.”

Over dinner, Faenlon and Nahida bonded over their shared love for exploration and adventure. They talked for hours, their conversation flowing smoothly and naturally. Faenlon found himself more and more drawn to Nahida, and he couldn’t help but feel a growing attraction to her.

Finally, as the night drew to a close, Faenlon leaned in and kissed Nahida. She was taken aback for a moment, but then she reciprocated the kiss. The night ended with Faenlon and Nahida in a passionate embrace, their bodies entwined and their hearts beating in time with each other.

As they lay together, Nahida realized that she had feelings for Faenlon. She knew that she would have to leave Roman, her original love interest, behind. It was a difficult decision, but she knew that it was the right one.

Faenlon, too, felt guilty for his actions. He knew that he had hurt Roman, and he wanted to make things right. But when he approached Roman, he found that the other man was surprisingly understanding.

“I see the way you look at her,” Roman said softly. “I know that you love her, and I can’t stand in the way of that. Go, be happy with Nahida. I wish you both all the best.”

Faenlon was touched by Roman’s words. He knew that he had made the right decision, and he was grateful for Roman’s understanding. As he walked away, he knew that he had found something special with Nahida, something that he would cherish for the rest of his days.
