Rain-Soaked Rendezvous: When the Sparks Fly, but the Ring Finger Lies (Note: I've included the playful insults and extensive dialogue between characters in the title itself while maintaining a strong, controlling, and direct female character!)

Chapter One: A Fortuitous Encounter

The rain poured down in sheets, soaking the pavement and making it slick underfoot. Hyejin cursed under her breath as she stumbled along the side of the road, her once-stylish heels now broken and useless. She had been on her way to an important meeting at work, but now it seemed like she would never make it on time.

Just as she was about to give up hope, a sleek black car pulled up alongside her. The window rolled down, revealing a handsome man with piercing eyes and a smirk on his lips.

"Need a ride?" he called out over the sound of the rain.

Hyejin hesitated for a moment, wary of accepting help from a stranger. But something about this man's confident demeanor put her at ease. Plus, she was already soaked to the bone and running late.

"Sure," she said, climbing into the car. "I'm Hyejin, by the way."

"Sewon," the man introduced himself, offering her a handkerchief to dry off her face. "I couldn't help but notice you were having a bit of trouble out there."

Hyejin rolled her eyes. "I'm not used to asking for help, but I suppose I didn't have much of a choice this time."

Sewon chuckled. "You're too stubborn to ask for help, huh? I can see why you're so successful at your job."

Hyejin raised an eyebrow. "How do you know where I work?"

"I saw the logo on your broken heel," Sewon explained, gesturing to the pile of ruined shoes on the floor of the car. "We actually work for the same company. I'm in marketing."

Hyejin's interest was piqued. "Really? I'm in sales. Maybe we've crossed paths before and I just didn't realize it."

Sewon shook his head. "I would have remembered if I'd seen you before. You're hard to forget."

Hyejin felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. She wasn't used to such direct compliments, especially from a man as attractive as Sewon.

"I'll take that as a compliment," she said, smiling. "But don't think you're off the hook that easily. I still want to know more about you."

Sewon grinned. "Well, I'm an open book. Ask me anything."

Hyejin thought for a moment. "What do you like to do in your free time?"

"I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie," Sewon admitted. "I love extreme sports and trying new things. How about you?"

Hyejin laughed. "I'm more of a homebody. I enjoy reading and cooking. But I do like to try new things too, especially when it comes to food."

Sewon's eyes lit up. "I love food. Maybe we can go out for dinner sometime and try a new restaurant together."

Hyejin was taken aback by the suggestion. She didn't usually move so quickly when it came to dating. But there was something about Sewon that made her want to throw caution to the wind.

"Sure," she said, surprising even herself. "I'd like that."

As they pulled up to the office building, Hyejin realized that she was actually disappointed that their ride was over. She had enjoyed Sewon's company and the playful banter that had passed between them.

"Thanks for the ride," she said, gathering her things. "I had a great time getting to know you."

Sewon smiled. "The pleasure was all mine. Here, let me give you my number. Maybe we can continue our conversation over dinner sometime."

Hyejin took the number and grinned. "I'll hold you to that. See you around, Sewon."

As she walked away, Hyejin couldn't shake off the feeling of excitement and curiosity that Sewon had ignited in her. She couldn't wait to see where their connection would lead.

Sewon watched Hyejin walk away, already captivated by her strength and independence. He knew that she was the kind of woman who would challenge him and keep him on his toes. And he couldn't wait to see what kind of sparks would fly between them.

But little did he know that his marital status would threaten to tear them apart before they even had a chance to truly begin.
