Chapter 1: The Hunger Awakens
The forest was thick with secrets, a labyrinth of whispers and shadows where the line between predator and prey blurred into something far more primal. Lila, the eldest of the seven goat sisters, stood at the edge of their rustic cabin, her sharp eyes scanning the treeline. She was no delicate flower—her muscles were taut from years of fending off threats, her horns polished to a deadly gleam. Her sisters bickered inside, oblivious to the danger she sensed lurking.
'Keep your bleating down, you lot,' Lila snapped, her voice cutting through the chatter. 'Something’s out there, and I’ll be damned if it catches us with our hooves up.'
A low growl rumbled from the underbrush, and her heart kicked into overdrive. She knew that sound—Wulfric, the wolf who’d haunted their tales since they were kids. But this wasn’t the scrawny beast of bedtime stories. When he stepped into the clearing, his fur gleamed like midnight, his eyes burned with a hunger that wasn’t just for flesh. His belly, already swollen from some recent feast, hung low, a grotesque yet mesmerizing bulge that made Lila’s breath catch in a way she didn’t want to admit.
'Well, well, Lila,' Wulfric purred, his voice a velvet blade. 'Still playing the tough little goat? I could smell your defiance a mile away. Or is that... curiosity?' He licked his chops, his gaze dropping to her powerful frame before flicking back to her eyes. 'You’ve grown into quite the challenge.'
Lila squared her shoulders, refusing to flinch under that predatory stare. 'And you’ve grown into quite the glutton, Wulfric. What’s with the gut? Swallowed a whole herd before coming to taunt me?' Her words were sharp, but her eyes betrayed her, lingering on that distended belly. There was something about it—something that stirred a dark, forbidden heat in her core.
Wulfric chuckled, a sound that vibrated through the air like a promise. 'Oh, this?' He patted his bloated stomach, the flesh jiggling under his paw. 'Just a little indulgence. But I’ve got room for more. Care to help me... fill it up?' His tone dripped with innuendo, and Lila felt her cheeks burn despite herself.
'You’re disgusting,' she spat, though her voice wavered just enough to betray her intrigue. She took a step closer, unable to resist the pull. 'What’s your game, wolf? You think I’m some naive kid you can gobble up?'
'Oh, I think you’re anything but naive,' Wulfric countered, closing the distance between them. His scent—wild, musky, dangerous—hit her like a wave. 'I think you’ve got a hunger of your own. Tell me, Lila, ever wonder what it’d be like to push a beast like me to his limits? To bloat this belly until it can’t take anymore?' His paw traced the curve of his stomach, and Lila’s gaze followed, her pulse hammering.
She should’ve turned away, should’ve called for her sisters, but the challenge in his eyes pinned her in place. 'You’re playing a dangerous game, Wulfric,' she warned, her voice low and charged. 'I’m not some prey to be toyed with. If I come for you, I’ll tear right through that smug gut of yours.'
His grin widened, all teeth and promise. 'I’m counting on it, darling. Let’s see who bursts first.' He stepped closer still, his bloated belly brushing against her, the contact sending a jolt through her that she couldn’t ignore. Her hands twitched, itching to push against that swollen flesh, to test its limits, to feel it give under her strength.
Their breaths mingled, hot and heavy, as the forest seemed to close in around them. Lila’s resolve wavered, her body betraying her with a rush of heat that pooled low in her belly. Wulfric’s paw grazed her side, and she didn’t pull away. Not yet. The tension was a live wire, sparking between them, ready to ignite into something raw and explosive.
And as their eyes locked, both knew this was only the beginning of a hunt neither could resist.
