Red-Headed Rebellion: When the Mafia Boss's Possessiveness is Ignited by His Cousin's Failed Casanova Moves

Chapter One: The Birthday Party

The grand ballroom of the Angelini Mansion was teeming with people, all gathered to celebrate Gabriel's birthday. The chatter and laughter filled the air, mingling with the scent of expensive perfume and aftershave. Davina, the red-haired nanny, walked into the room, taking it all in. She had only been working for the Angelini family for a few months, but she had quickly learned that their parties were always extravagant affairs.

As she made her way through the crowd, she felt a hand on her arm. She turned to see Cassiel, the brown-haired second cousin, smiling at her. "Davina, you look stunning tonight," he said, his eyes raking over her body.

Davina raised an eyebrow. "Cassiel, you're such a flirt," she said, playfully swatting his hand away.

Cassiel laughed. "You can't blame a man for trying," he said, winking at her.

Davina shook her head, a smile playing on her lips. She had quickly learned that Cassiel was harmless, always trying to flirt with her but never pushing too hard. She had no interest in him, but she enjoyed their banter.

As she continued to make her way through the room, she felt eyes on her. She looked up and saw Gabriel, the muscular mafia boss, watching her from a distance. His blue eyes never left her, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. She had only met him a few times, but she couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards him.

She made her way over to Mikey, the four-year-old blonde boy she took care of, and scooped him up in her arms. "Hey, little man," she said, kissing the top of his head.

Mikey grinned up at her. "Davi, you look pretty," he said, his blue eyes sparkling.

Davina smiled. "Thank you, sweetheart," she said, kissing his cheek.

She carried him upstairs to his room, getting him ready for bed. As she tucked him in, she couldn't help but feel a sense of longing. She loved taking care of Mikey, but she couldn't help but feel like there was something missing from her life.

As she walked out of his room, she felt a presence behind her. She turned to see Gabriel, his body pressing against hers. "Get off me, Gabriel," she said, but there was no real heat behind her words.

Gabriel smirked, his white hair catching the light. "You know you like it," he said, his breath warm on her neck.

Davina rolled her eyes. "You're such an arrogant ass," she said, but she didn't push him away.

Gabriel leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear. "And you're a tease, Davina," he said, his voice low.

Davina felt a shiver run down her spine. "I'm not teasing you, I'm just not interested," she said, but her voice was softer now.

Gabriel chuckled, his hands resting on her hips. "You can't fool me, Davina," he said.

Davina looked up at him, her eyes searching his face. "And you can't fool yourself, Gabriel," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Gabriel's eyes darkened, and he leaned in to kiss her. Davina met him halfway, her arms wrapping around his neck. She could feel the heat radiating off of him, and she couldn't help but respond.

The party continued on without them, but in this moment, they were the only two people in the world. Davina could feel herself getting lost in him, and she knew that she needed to be careful. But for now, she would allow herself to get lost in the moment, to feel the heat and passion that he brought out in her.
