Regressing to Innocence: The Unconventional Healing of Dr. Sai and Her Childlike Husband, Virat

Chapter One: The New Normal

The familiar sound of the front door opening pulled Sai from her thoughts. She set her book down and made her way to the living room, expecting to find her husband, Aryan, home from work. Instead, she was met with the sight of her best friend's husband, Virat, on the floor, struggling to get up.

"Virat!" she exclaimed, rushing to his side. "What are you doing on the floor? Are you okay?"

Virat pouted, sticking his bottom lip out. "I wanna sit on the big chair," he demanded, pointing to the armchair.

Sai couldn't help but chuckle at his childlike behavior. Virat and her best friend, Sapna, had recently welcomed a new baby into their lives, and it seemed that Virat was having a harder time adjusting to the changes than Sapna was.

"Okay, okay," Sai said, lifting him up and placing him in the chair. "You're such a big boy now, aren't you?" she teased, ruffling his hair.

Virat nodded, then frowned. "I gotta go potty," he admitted, looking embarrassed.

Sai's face softened. "Okay, I'll help you," she said, leading him to the bathroom.

As they made their way to the bathroom, Sai couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness towards Virat. He was like a little brother to her, and she wanted to make sure he was taken care of.

When they reached the bathroom, Virat stood in front of the toilet, looking confused. "I can't do it," he whined, hopping from foot to foot.

Sai hid a smile. "Here, let me help you," she said, gently guiding his hips forward.

Virat tensed as Sai's hands touched him intimately. He looked up at her, eyes wide. "Sai...?"

Sai met his gaze, her own eyes softening. "It's okay, Virat. I'm here to help you," she reassured him.

Virat took a deep breath, then relaxed. He looked down, watching as his body responded to Sai's touch.

Sai felt a blush rise to her cheeks, but she didn't move away. She continued to help him, her heart pounding in her chest.

After a few moments, Virat finally relieved himself, looking up at Sai with a sheepish grin. "Thanks, Sai," he said, his voice low and husky.

Sai cleared her throat, stepping back. "You're welcome," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Virat stood up, then wrapped his arms around Sai's waist. "I wanna stay with you," he said, resting his head on her shoulder.

Sai sighed, but didn't pull away. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close. "Okay, you can stay with me," she said, smiling.

As they stood there, Sai couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and comfort. This was their new normal, and she was happy to be a part of it.
